At the end of the Scourge arc, currently set to be the 1st/2nd of July, I will be taking a one week break from posting.I need that time to properly plan out the chaotic mess that will be Rebellion/Resistence, where Gilneas goes to war with itself and the Battle for Mount Hyjal plays out with its changes. This is also something of an opportunity for *you* to say what you want to see for that arc, what events or people. Does the breaking of ground in Theramore interest you? Jaina's plans for the Tauren? Thrall's struggles which wouldn't deviate all that much from canon? Finding Aegwynn in her home in Durotar?Or a Night Elf perspective of the humans entering their forests rather than Aderic's. I will rule out doing a Medivh PoV, but there's possibility to see Chromie again if peopel care about that.As before, this is not a gurantee anything will make it in. But for all I have many ideas, I don't have all the ideas.

" 1st/2nd of June" Did you mean July?

Rubeno

First of all, I believe you meant the 1st and 2nd of July, not June. Secondly, It would be a good idea to focus on aspects of the story that have changed. The creation of Theramore will be interesting as this time around amount and diversity of races will be much greater than originally and it will be an occasion to see how people use Gwenn's foreknowledge. Then there are high/blood elves. Will they join Theramore? How will their existence on Kalimdor affect Kaldorei? Let's also not forget about the new elven king's romantic feelings toward Jaina. Then there is Kaldorei. How will Jaina will her foreknowledge affect Kaldorei's relationship with Theramore? With orcs? How will Thrall and Horde be affected by Jaina's foreknowledge? A lot of nonsense can be avoided in the future if Thrall creates a council earlier or maybe doesn't step down from power in the first place. How will the Battle of Hayal be affected by Gwenn's prophecy? There will be new actors this time around like Kael and high elves. Will Cenarion fall to the ambush this time around as his death marked the immediate start of the Battle?

I'm always happy to see Chromie. I also think seeing what's going on with Kalimdor is necessary, if only to see the divergences from canon. The Tauren in particular, and how they interact with Jaina would interest me.

One thing that I've lowkey been looking forward to is that meeting between Gwen and the circle of Cenarius that you mused about early on in the SB comments - if we're starting to show Kalimdor in the narrative, seems like doing something to foreshadow that and otherwise give some detail on the druids of the continent might be good. Give us a little contrast to Gwen as a taste of what's coming down the line, you know?

Kalmidor seems like an interesting idea, I'm interested if Jarod will be showing up. And if he'll have to deal with these darned heroes constantly trying to get themselves killed. Similarly, Rohnin might be interesting. I recall he actually did get a letter, if one edited by Chromie. Not sure what ended up happening there. Lord Marshall Garithos's No Good Very Bad Day. The man deserves it. As for other, lesser stations of canon around this time: Gnomergan is also an option, though I'm not sure when you expect things there to derail. Stromgarde and to a much lesser Alterac are sorta forgotten around this time so looking at them could be interesting. Maybe some battle around Dun Mordir and the Thandol Span?

Aside from Kalimdor which this comment section heavily focused on, I remember how interested you were in the topic of urbanization. While bringing modern technology to Azeroth is kind of obvious and you've got a topic well in hand what about unique paths to the Warcraft universe? Gnomes were said to eventually become interested in using Light in their technology when inspired by Draenei. I wonder though how a newly arisen druidic order can develop new ways in modern Gilnean society. Or maybe Amber Order is doomed to only remain as a bunch of food growers and compete with the church over healing? Can druids, that is witches become modernized? Also, take part in the process of urbanization. Aside from that. I believe that the technological expansion of the Order is part of a greater political struggle over the influence of Gilneas. Aside from the obvious combat resistance try to show Order in political struggle (aside from Darius one) in the new order. How will order gain influence in the coming parliament? How will they affect society in the long run? Then there is a slice of life. Can the capital of Gilneas be beautified? The smog was cleared, parks were created, etc. Druids in stories always felt backward to me. Powerful but backward. What if druids become part of national identity openly acting for the sake of the nation? Then there is the idea of creating a witch-based Dalaran. Or at least a bigger school. Amber Order will compete with mages and priests for talented apprentices. Order can't teach on as small a scale as just with Gwenn and her friend. What else? Will events on Kalimdor and Gwenn's actions be separate? As in think whether you can reliably put interaction between Gwenn/Gilneas and what will be happening on Kalimdor once Resistance will Bd fading. Or maybe during that? I remember Illidan being pursued across Eastern Kingdoms. Maybe there can be interaction here of some kind?

IMO, I want all of the proposition above^^ And may I add: - Out of the way witness accounts of the Third War, like Stormwind people, Vulperans in Vol'Dun or even Ebyssian and the Highmountain clans who see/feel/learn of it and wonder what the fuck is going on out there?! (though I admit it would completely irrelevant to the plot whatsoever). - A short snippet to give us the reason why, in your own idea of the revelant plot points, the Dragonflights decided to sit out the Third War entirely. Maybe through Krasus learning of Dalaran's Fall. - One or several meetings between Lord Renard, whatchacallit the Raven and Taldoren about Gwen, the Order, the winds of change, the resurgence of the Old Ways, and maybe a subsequent new boost to their powers with a reawakening of Nature and other minor Wild Gods in the vicinity. Because, as I said in my commentaries in SB, I want that freaking Otter Water-Form!!! - Crack-fic of Aderic in Fox-Form fucking with Grommash to slow him down from attacking Ashenval/Cenarius. - Maybe an introspective chapter of Prince Liam who could clue together the coming of the Rebellion, like, months in advance, and see him torn between his love for his Father and family, and Lorna and justice for the innocents dead on the other side. To potentially show that he has the brain and heart that his father lacks. I may have other ideas. but that's what I have at the moment. Keep up the good work and enjoy your well earned break.

Personally I’m really hoping for the mandatory rebellion to be subverted. Lorna and the prince are too good to ruin. At the same time…. She knows the whole story of the worgen and has promised to see to them. If they are inevitable, then shouldnt she get to them first and sooth the rage from the start? Also surely she remembers where some nice loot is?! A major part of Warcraft is the gear! And yet there been little to nothing of that sort of thing in the story so far.

Gwen´s had, in the 11th chapter posted today, a sort of realization that while there are no heroes in Gilneas roster, she has to step up. Because she remembers who the heroes are. I guess what i would like to see is a formerly not very significant or just not very heroic character ascending to become "A hero" so to speak. A significant, powerful mover and shaker. Someone who Gwen doesn´t know or wouldn´t expect to, getting blindsided and disabused of the notion that this story only has a set amount of heroes that she knows properly. I don´t know if thats in the cards (thought i would expect it is, Vivi is shaping up quite the badass), but thats kinda a beat that i would like to see being shown.

Bat

I would like to see some POV from Jaina in what she plans to do now that she has a book detailing events that would of happened. Also very curios about the “sun elves” or whatever they plan to call themselves after this.
