That One French Guy

Hi! Thank you for addressing the "stranger danger" bias of child abuse representation in the media! My girlfriend is a psychiatrist in social services, she unfortunately had to deal with several abused kids and they were sadly all molested by members of their own family, so I appreciate your video sheding some light on the reality of the matter. As always, thanks for your work! Speculation question! If you could remove from existence one season of a TV show, which one would it be? And if you could give another TV show an extra season (with the creative team of the last season that got released in our real world), which one would it be? Unrelated question: I'm curious about how Nebula works (if you're at liberty to discuss it and if you're confortable doing so). Did they contact you first or did you apply? Do they pay you a sort of salary or is your revenue dependant on your video views (on top of the affiliate link if you have one)? Do they mind that you're posting your episodes on your personal Patreon on top of their website? Feel free to not answer any of these if it's too personnal. Have a nice day!

Heya! 1. I know you said you are avoiding john stewart stuff but have you seen this interview he did with ta nehesi Coates about the new book Coates wrote? https://youtu.be/d0-y0X51Xtw?si=fF52Veg-db44cjjV 2. Related to that Coates interview I am curious as to whether the west wing video will touch on "political pr" and messaging/propaganda from out own government and the narratives it perpetuates. So much of that show focuses on the speeches the characters give to make the audience feel like our heroic patriotic protagonists are trying their best. In the early seasons especially we get the character sam seaborne who is a speech writer foe the president. Will the focus of the video be more on the west wing and us military interventionism? Or will it be more focused on politics and the media? If so perhaps you can touch on works like or wells "politics and the English language" (which I have not read but is in my to read pile.) 3. You did a james bond live stream what about a star trek stream? Reason I ask is because star trek came up when you were reviewing the "best TV episodes" list and you still haven't seen any star trek. Might I suggest the "past tense" Two parter from deep space nine? 4. Following up on an exchange we had in the "best tv episodes" comment section, what did you think drives the kind of "cult of personality" worship for tv show runners/creators like Dan harmon? Heck even Damon lindelof and Carlton cruise were called "darlton" by fans when the show was airing. When I was in high school I used to be more into dan harmon's work and listened to all his writing advice stuff but now that I'm older I'm more cautious to call writers and artists "geniuses." They are just people with their own perspectives sharing it with the world, and we often forget that all these shows were made collaboratively and not by the creator alone. Pretty broad question obviously but I'm curious to hear your thoughts. Best wishes. Here is hoping we all survive into 2025 and find the courage to defeat facism and care for each other in a system that values greed above all else.

1. I was actually thinking about this question last week: since we've officially entered "spooky season," what is your favorite Halloween episode of any show? If it's a Simpson's episode, then of any non-Simpson's show. 2. Now that you've been back from Europe for a bit, thinking back on it, what about your trip do you think you'll remember and/or tell people about the most? Bonus non-question comment: I've never seen an episode of To Catch a Predator, and am really only vaguely aware of it, so I'm looking forward to watching your TCAP episode w/ some ambivalence. I did watch the separate interview segments already and they were really good. However, I'm *really* looking forward to your West Wing episode!

I just started watching Lost thanks to you and another creator I follow talking so positively about it and find it really interesting! Without spoiling too much (if possible--not a big deal but the mysteries and surprises are fun)--what do you make of the cultural response to the show's ending and do you think the series is due for a reevaluation?
