I forgot about this show's weird habit of having Republicans be portrayed as either comic book villains or constitutional scholars, with no representation for good ol' fashioned corporate monsters. There's a both-sides quality that has aged particularly poorly, especially with the total lack of progressive representation

Another detail about operation paperclip. One of the nazi scientists involved was Wernher von Braun. A man who walt disney would later consult with when developing Tomorrowland at Disney world! Remember that the next time you go visit Disneyland. Especially when you see storm troopers marching around the park!

That is the same fountain from Friends. Both shows were made in WB studios.

This is a great point, the show largely finds corporatists to be apolitical. While they'll talk about corporate conservatives, they show (accurately) that the Dems have tons of connections to capital as well. For example, Leo has friends in high places in the energy industry despite previously having been Secretary of Labor, and the show ends with a billionaire giving CJ all the money she wants to "fix Africa."

What's so dumb is- all you need to say is woopsie- I forgot this when we spoke yesterday but actually, I do have a diary. They'll hate it but you'll be alright

Re the penny thing, if we pretended for a moment that it was actually because of the Lincoln thing (or if it was because of the copper industry), then why not re-use those materials in a new standard $2 or $5 coin which solve the value issues without tripping over the minor stuff.
