Love this extra info! And actually I have a rec-- if you want to go down a rabbit hole on The Blind Side and how fucked up the whole thing was, there's an excellent video by Savy Writes Books about it. It goes into way more detail than the BTB episode did, if I remember right.

I understand family court through the context of post-separation abuse and how ex-partners (usually men) will weaponize the police and family court to exert power and control over victims who have exited the relationship. Judges, lawyers and police do not often understand how intimate partner violence operates and can take a very he said/she said approach to things. I cannot understate how many men will literally make up shit to get CAS called in to investigate the victim. Like you said, parental alienation is a very popular term right now and while I have witnessed parents try to instill in their children that their other parent is the actual worst, it's not a syndrome, it's literally just a control tactic.
