What are your thoughts on how domestic terrorism is covered in shows like Waco Aftermath and how that intersects with other copoganda shows?

I just learned that "Santa Clarita Diet" was created by the same guy (Victor Fresco) who created "Andy Richter Controls the Universe" and "Better Off Ted", both of which my wife and I loved, and reportedly has a similar sensibility and tone as those two. I didn't see anything that made me want to see it while it was still in production, but now I feel I should check it out. Have you seen it/have an opinion on it?

1. I see that you are still considering taking a look at law and order in the future. I remember you seemed a little hesitant to cover it after John Oliver's piece on the subject. What I'm curious about is whether you plan to take a grander look at legal shows in general like the closer. I would particularly be curious to hear your thoughts about the Perry Mason reboot on HBO. I grew up with the original perry mason playing on the TV in a regular basis. I'm not sure if you had a similar experience but even if you aren't as familiar it would be cool to hear your thoughts. 2. Have you thought about taking a second look at shows like fringe or the x-files and digging more in depth in regards to how they connect to the modern day conspiracy theory craze? I know you touched in it briefly in your "spooky cops" video but I feel like there is a lot more to discuss about our cultures growing obsession with conspiracies and how they are weaponized. I rewatched some old episodes of the x-files recently and now that I'm older it's starting to dawn on my just how dumb the conspiracy stuff actually is. For example, in the movie the bad guys fake a domestic terrorist attack and blow up a building just to dispose of corpses infected with an alien virus. There are so many easier waya to cover up dead bodies that will attract less attention. I always knew the x-files was fiction but the fact that it sometimes alluded to real life conspiracy theories like the JFK assassination makes me more uncomfortable in retrospect. I believe the reboot a couple years back even showed the antagonist faking the moon landing. I never believed the show was real life but it was fun to follow the mystery as a kid. Now, I just see how the same storytelling techniques and narratives attract real life conspiracy nuts.

Is there a reason why you started watching True Blood? Also, who is your favorite character and why is it Lafayette? And one final question: I started watching The Sopranos a while back, but I don't think it /still/ deserves its "best TV show of all time" crown - is this a hot take that will get me boo'ed off stage or can anyone back me up on this? Loved the Abbott video, glad it's doing well. As always, looking forward to the next video.

Hello, due to money issues, as I spend 15 dollars a month on a another Patreon, although that other Patreon, might be defunct by next month, I might be leaving this Patreon soon, and I'm still hoping to finish my 100 Most Acclaimed TV Episodes tally, by this year, so, I might not be able to ask questions for a while, but, with all that being said, what is the difference between a show entering your tier-list high, but, not getting onto the Best Episodes list for the year, for example, The Rehearsal, was your favorite show of 2022, but, it failed to land a mention on your Favorite Episodes list, meanwhile, Barry, despite getting a lower ranking, made your Honorable Mentions
