5 MORE Mayday shows to watch while waiting for God's Teeth (Patreon)
Content
As we said in our previous update, there's a lot of great content here at Mayday worth binging. Fun fact: Mayday was inspired to run Delta Green after listening to Black Project Gaming, so we owe much of our inspiration to them. This new list will stray a bit from the Delta Green / Horror angle because the other options are still so much fun! Here are five more shows we'd recommend you check out.
---------------
1. If the only thing you love more than playing Delta Green is talking about Delta Green, then The Dead Drop is for you. Conceived by Vince and Sergio, this show initially emerged as a platform to dissect Vince's experience running Impossible Landscapes. The campaign's depth demanded its own series, yet eager listeners craved more content, leading to The Dead Drop's evolution into a monthly DG podcast. On the second Friday of every month, expect a new episode that delves into Delta Green news, scenario analysis, interviews, and more.
As the concluding episode of their Impossible Landscapes coverage approaches its April release, there's ample opportunity to catch up on the discussion. Additionally, for those seeking an unofficial campaign diary of Black Project Gaming's enthralling run-through of Impossible Landscapes, the Dead Drop serves as the perfect companion. Driven by listener interaction, the Dead Drop invites you to submit topics for discussion for upcoming episodes.

2. Last year, Mayday was fortunate enough to get sponsored by Helmgast Press to run their horror ttrpg KULT: Divinity Lost. We live-streamed a four-part series led by Eli as the Storyteller. The scenario goes like this: Artists and Critics are invited to a midnight showing of Guy Vaquillen's "The Atrocity Exhibition", but they get much more than they bargained for. If you're a horror fan, KULT takes things in a fresh and terrifying new direction, and Mayday was more than happy to play it up. The players created charming characters you love to hate and Eli does a great job setting a macabre tone. Be forewarned: this actual play is much more explicit than some of our other content, so viewer discretion is advised. We like to boast about our unofficial record of being the first actual play to upload their playthrough of this scenario to YouTube.

3. What can we say about Lev's run of Tales From The Loop? Besides that, it will hit you like a ton of bricks from nowhere! Our tale begins in the quaint mountain village of Wind Wake, Montana. School is closed for a short break and we follow five adorable teens as they adventure without adult supervision. When they stomp around their favorite forest, the kids encounter a lost soul who changes their lives forever. What begins as a cute science fiction adventure evolves over four sessions into a heart-wrenching tale of innocence lost. The players (Zakiya, Eli, Kerri Smith, @insightchecked, and @titanomachyrpg) create charming kids who handle the tragedy with grace. Lev, the game master, adeptly creates a kid-sized world of wonder while boldly challenging them with a moral dilemma that requires maturity.
"E.T." meets Short Circuit", we think you'll be surprised by how much you'll like this mini-campaign. Some fun sound effects and a groovy 80's soundtrack keep things interesting but the powerful ending separates this from other actual plays. In the new year, we hope to run another round of Tales From The Loop with the remaining members of Mayday who had to sit out the first round.

4. From the moment the game begins, you know that we're playing Orbital Blues. Game Master Eli narrates like a radio DJ, and their style really sets the mood. The story revolves around a posse of reprobates calling themselves the Quartet who grow sick and tired of the oppressive gangs that terrorize Reno-12. Members Leslie(Caleb), DJ Stoked(Zak), Paunch(Sergio), and O'Neal (@thespacejamber) decide to take matters into their own hands and rid the system of these jerks for good.
It's a consistently hilarious misadventure that doesn't take itself too seriously. The players manage to bumble through 3 memorable sessions without wasting time, and it all culminates in a final blaze of glory. They make good use of the songs they attribute to their characters by frequently referencing them in their descriptions of their actions. Eli lets the crew loose on a tiny corner of the in-game setting known as Reno-12 and never gets in the way of the player's fun. Orbital Blues is a rockin' good entry and a time capsule for Mayday's early years when we were still gathering our bearings as streamers. It isn't as polished as previous entries but has a lot of heart and is a fun example of what the system can do.

5. Last on our list is a Mayday favorite, the surreal teen romcom Visigoths VS Mall Goths. What started as a one-shot, we shared so many laughs we begged Zakiya, the game master, to run a second session. The basic idea is there exists: the Mall. And that Mall is populated by the Mall Goths (played by Eli, Caleb, and Sergio) who must mingle with 7th-century Visigoths (played by Amanda, Aaron, and Allegra/Lev). That's it. The players form bizarre cliques, fall in love, annoy each other, and act like the self-important goths that they are, all while solving ludicrous mysteries meticulously designed by Zakiya. These are another blast from Mayday's past that we think deserves more love.
