I was about to comment on how romantic this tale was and then you put this twist in ‘the tail’ of the story. Very cleverly done.

I loved this story at first reading and took great pleasure in rediscovering it with illustrations. It was nice to see Grimmlord get rid of his uniform and whiskers, she looks very nice in all these cute dresses. Maybe one day we will see her 'in his wedding gown, looking so sweet and happy, the blushing bride.'? Also, we didn't see Simulata so much. But I assumed she has attended the wedding?

Being a simple mind, I'm not a fan of the final twist. I prefer to ignore the last sentence and keep a more optimistic vision of the story.

About Simulata : it's a great character and wil stay so, no matter how fast the tech has evolved since you wrote this story. That firmly stated, for the sake of curiosity, how will you compare Simulata's behavior with the one's of recent language models? Isn't it a typical case of 'reality meets fiction, but not exactly in the way we expected it'?
