I love the premise, themes and elements in this story. I am, however, a little confused with the alternating images of ‘the master’ looking very feminine in one image and female in every-way and then images depicting her/ him masculine features returning. What am I missing and not understanding?

I'm OK to be confused. But could you just confirm that episode 2 is actually part of the same story as episode 1? I don't see any clear and strong link between them.
