Orange Dreamsicle Creations

I can't wait to read the lore on them; And the lore behind everything. Downtime moments are truly awesome at showcasing the humanity of characters.

Absolutely wonderful work in all of these, can't wait for the colors and lore! Love the long hair brushing, and how powerful, yet calm Saint Dana looks. Also, is this some romance I see there in the middle :D

There's at least 3 other notable ones I'd like to get to at some point :3 But in total there's lots more ofc.

Life expectancy of acolytes is terribly low... Forming romances only leads to more pain. ;_; But one can't help what you feel, right?

ArcBlue117

Oh... I feel bad now... I mean, I am happy there are more saints, and I am really looking forward to seeing more of them, but I do not want these precious children to die ;; Your adorable art made me completely forget until now that they are fighting a war :

Apollonia Vaar

So can acolytes that exceed expected life expediencies and perform exceptional service eventually rise to higher positions and potentially become saints? Or is Sainthood something established by a higher system that acolytes have no hope of attaining?

The happy spartan.

Leader reminds me of Ana from overwatch. The moma of the battlefield

hushabyevalley

Don't feel bad ;_; They love their saint and will do anything they can because they want to!

hushabyevalley

Few live that long, but in the rare cases they can be promoted to work at home within the safety of the order's walls. The only way to become a saint is if the saint they serve die, or they uncover a new relic of the old war that requires a saint's protection. No one really wants to become a saint though. It's a horrible burden.

hushabyevalley

I think Ana is a little sassier than this soft-mom. :3

Apollonia Vaar

So if the saint they serve dies, they clearly have a ton of acolytes so how does the replacement process happen? The eldest/most recognized/accomplished?

hushabyevalley

It's usually a pretty chaotic process unless the saint had (cruelly) appointed one to inherit the relic. It's Relic -> Saint -> Acolyte. So if the saint dies or there's a risk of losing both the relic and saint, the relic gets priority. So the first one to bring the relic to safety is bullied into becoming the new saint. That, or the acolytes had subconsciously agreed who's the most suited to have the role beforehand.

Apollonia Vaar

I see, considering how kind Dana seems. It's hard to imagine her being cruel to any of her girls. But there's still plenty we don't know about the system which I am very glad you are putting to light. I'm usually here mainly for Hannah and Alexi, but Dana + Acolytes is quickly becoming a favorite. Cheers <3
