Wielding holy artifacts of the old world - like guardians of a forgotten time - the saints of the order of Our Sacred Chalice scour the mist in search of relics and wisdom which survived the war of the Great Horrors.

Mysterious and secretive, each saint is a nation of their own, but with unswerving loyalty to each other and their common goal. They are the dedicated keepers of the holy relics and leaders of their devoted retinues of acolytes - orphan children put in service of the greater good. Be it changelings, giants or human. Saints rarely operate near settlements, so the taboos aren't as strict.

Life is grim for both acolyte and saint as they often travel uncharted territories in the mist in search of more secrets. No matter what - a saint is not allowed to die. Should their life be threatened, it will be artificially extended through painful, esoteric medical procedures to a degree well beyond what a human body should tolerate. No acolyte would allow their saint to be hurt and would sacrifice their own life without hesitation - as few wish to become the next saint, should their own die.

Above them all is the relic itself. No life is worth more than it's safety. Both saint and acolytes are deeply trained in its function, care and operation. Should a saint die, an acolyte will pick it up and become the new Saint. Should a Saint find a new relic, it will be brought back to the order's citadel for study. If it is still operational, an acolyte befitting it's criteria will be chosen to become its saint - and so the order grows.

Like a holy congregation, the saints of the Order of Our Sacred Chalice gathers at their citadel deep underground in an ancient mine where they keep their secrets safe and heavily fortified. No one knows how many silver tower bells they have in their possession as no chime has ever been heard. Yet still, the monsters of the mist stay clear and out of their territory.

Who knows what secret binds them together so religiously.

Random question from a newer guest to Hushabye Valley. Is Saint Dana's white hair a result of vitiligo also or was it cause by what wounded her face?

Terra

It makes me so warm and fuzzy!!!

Man Cave Minis

Such an amazing design for a character as well as the armor and weapons she uses. Seeing these in their detailed colored glory it really makes the design stand out even more. Well done!

Cristian

Damn. From reading the synopsis, it seems this takes place very late in the future after some kind of gigantic war. I mean, it has to be the future, a gun is a relic to them. Very interesting. I wonder what could cause such destruction to reshape humanity and society itself. P.s. Love your art and work. Keep it up👍👍

2026-11-03 05:00 Curious~ Saint Dana's hair is red, so is her prosthetics, armor, and some of the acolytes clothes...did they plan that?

I am in love with how you draw feet TwT

ArcBlue117

I really love this worldbuilding. Will you make a comic of this too, unrelated to ADA? Also, what kind of "artifacts" are we talking about? (Also, for some reason, all that talk of saints made me imagine Dana with blonde hair... curious how we have certain connections in our heads...)

Crazedfox

. The demons in the mist. That must be a worse place than what the saints call home. Compared to the broken world they reside...

Crazedfox

Edit: “Monsters” of the mist.

Crazedfox

. Is Saint Dana a giantess.?

Sidewinderfang

How many relics are a saint and her squad responsible for? I'm a lore hungry basterd and I am quickly falling in love with all your projects....All Of Them!

hushabyevalley

She's 189cm (6'3 ish) so one of her parents probably were.

hushabyevalley

One holy relic per saint. :3 And acolytes may carry minor relics.

hushabyevalley

No, she's just a redhead that became a saint. :3 She's one of the older ones, though, so maybe fate wanted her to become a symbol.

hushabyevalley

It started with a meteor. Then the mist. Then the war. :3

hushabyevalley

I don't think I've ever drawn a foot with full confidence, so that makes me very happy to hear ;w;

Crazedfox

Ok. So is Olivia one? She looks to be tall for a young age.

hushabyevalley

The comic about Hushabye Valley probably won't be about the knights orders, but about the monsters residing inside Castle Hushabye. :3 The artifacts and relics are mostly weapons and machines of the old world that still functions. So her HMG there is her Holy Relic.

ArcBlue117

Ooh, I see! But will the saints interact with the monsters? I am not sure if they would fight, or if they would only fight if its over an artefact... (a saint falling in love with a monster girl though <3)

Crazedfox

Wait: Huge Machine Gun?

Mithaldu

Got a bit confused trying to piece the timeline together. Pg1: They return from a battle or end a trip, and the acolytes take her apart for maintenance, with Sara taking the arm off and Kaavi in the background carrying the gun with ??? and Olivia further back talking. Olivia and Kaavi go clean it at the water wheel. Pg2. Sara is sent to them and gets teased (isn't that Olivia far in the back in the teasing frame?) Pg3. Olivia and Kaavi are back from the cleaning at the top and wringing out the cloths. At the bottom Dana then praises Olivia and Kaavi. ... That sound about right?

hushabyevalley

The one recorded saint expedition to the castle ended in the saint dying :,3

Crazedfox

How will these comics be released.? I don’t wish to miss any.

ArcBlue117

But that is so sad :< Can't they just get along and be in lesbians...

hushabyevalley

The timeline isn't all that important, but yes, I'd say you've got it mostly right, except for some names :3

hushabyevalley

I'll announce it everywhere once they exists, so no worries missing it :3 Will be for free reading somewhere yet to be decided.

Mithaldu

Aaaah, Olivia is the dark-haired one. Thanks! :)

hushabyevalley

Olivia is the tall dark haired one :3 And Kaavi is the dark haired one with dark skin. Stella is the blonde one with spiky hair. :3 The one in the back with orange hair is Pernilla :3

ArcBlue117

HMG = Heavy Machine Gun, I think. So, the big gun she's lugging around.

Mithaldu

Haha, thank you for the details. It was fun teasing them apart because there's so much detail in so little space. A little like renaissance paintings. :D

Crazedfox

So your going to make a “full comic issue” before releasing.? (full issue being 22 pages.)

Mithaldu

(Also while rewriting the summary for a friend i found myself wondering about Stella's name, she's so prominent!)

ArcBlue117

Well, I'll just hope there will be at least some saints who will find happiness (with monster wives)

hushabyevalley

I'm working on ADA atm, so the Hushabye Valley stuff will have to wait a bit. :3 As for ADA's plans, I'm planning to make a bulk upload once I get enough pages done to reach the interesting parts, and then update it whenever a page or set of pages are done. Semi-webcomic mode.

hushabyevalley

Maybe not saints... But knights from other orders might've! Saints have their acolytes to take care of.

Crazedfox

So with ADA, the first chapter will most likely be released. Followed with single to a few pages at regular timed intervals?

hushabyevalley

I'll share their names with you. From left to right. back row: Maribelle, Stella, Kaavi, Pernilla, Olivia, Sara. Middle row: Agnes. Front row: Mim and Flor. :3

Sidewinderfang

Has a saint ever abused her power over her acyolites? Maybe go AWOL with her "new harem"?

ArcBlue117

You raise a very compelling point, good... author! Can't have the acolytes feeling jealous... I will look forward to learning more about the other knight orders! Also, out of interest, what happened to Dana's eye? It looks like a burn, only a lot worse. Phosporous weapons? Chemical remains? Also, random thought, what if somehow an artifact WAS a cute monster girl? (Also, I apologize for all these questions, but you could see it as a sign that people ( well, one people at least) are invested in your work!)

hushabyevalley

Saints go missing and are assumed destroyed. Although it's very unlikely they'd abandon their order. Something very strong compels them to stay and do their job.

hushabyevalley

They tend to show up when there's rumors about changelings or certain monsters. So they do have an interest for reasons other than destroying them. :3 Also, her face and body was shredded by a monster and quickly cauterized with some unknown substance. The scar goes deep and is hard as wood and quite painful.

Crazedfox

Where else can we find you? I love to see more of your past arts/scribblings/miscellaneous works.

Crazedfox

Did I ask a wrong question? I’m sorry if I did...

Mithaldu

"destroyed". Such a strong word.

Crazedfox

*whew* Thank-you.

Mithaldu

Oh wow, they all have names! <3 And i must say, as someone who absolutely struggles naming anything, i admire your choices! By being german i can read them in two languages, and they all sound clear and unforced and pretty in both. Also due to my past i like that the name Mim is carried by such an adorable cutie. :)

hushabyevalley

Beware the monsters, the horrors and the changelings. They have no place in this world! Or so they think at least. :,T

hushabyevalley

I'm swedish, so our languages have lots of similarities :3 Picked the names for the same reasons too!

ArcBlue117

I feel pretty bad for the saints... They pay a very high prize. I am amazed Dana can smile like this...

hushabyevalley

She lives for her acolytes. The other saints have voiced concerns over her coddling. But she's lost so so many... So many. And with every one lost, her concern increases. Showing them love for the short lives they live. Is the least they deserve.

codytachi

Love her hair colour, Hush. Is the red hair a trait that only the saint's are blessed with?

John Fiala

This is what made me join as a Patron. Love it!

Mithaldu

She explained that in an answer above (some of the posts are hidden, so maybe try the "show more" link): "No, she's just a redhead that became a saint. :3 She's one of the older ones, though, so maybe fate wanted her to become a symbol."

Cheese Toast of Death

Seeing the black and white had made me assume that Saint Dana was blonde, I am pleasantly surprised with her having red hair. And you have some kind of insane gift with making characters who are disfigured yet beautiful.

hushabyevalley

Oh wow, thank you so much! Hope you enjoy your stay! (/ω\)

hushabyevalley

Haha, yeah more people seemed to have the same expectation. x3 And thank you!

hushabyevalley

Saintless Acolytes are kept at home at the citadel for schooling. :3 Acolytes as both teachers and students and researchers. No one really knows how they are distributed though, as no strangers have ever sat foot inside.

Leveler All

An impressive skill and works, to many details to count, because the way patreon work i cn pm yet this may be the best place to ask since you already do so well on here but do you ever take comisions hushaby?
