Kaavi and Agnes in the spotlight is always wonderful! Just like to pick your brain for a bit..How does someone become an acolyte in the order? How are they selected for training and how rough is said training? Keep it up your killing it!!

The vast majority are orphans. Picked up during missions or "donated" by families that can't support themselves. They get basic combat and gear maintenance training before getting assigned a Saint. There's also vast teachings of every Relic and some hands-on experience of Relic maintenance. Acolytes skill affinities are found rather quickly and they get divided into work-groups. Average age of assignment is 14. Though there's been cases of some being even younger. Usually when there's been a lot of losses and replacement acolytes are running thin. Few acolytes survive beyond three years of active service. Those who do can opt to return to home base to become teachers.

(Speaking of slimes I’ve never understood why rpgs depicts them as weak. You’re basically fighting living water. And you can’t hurt water, small slimes should either be tame able (or if hostile) OMG Run the Fuck Away.
