Grandma Ocampo raised Cesar for many years when he was young, and he subsequently visited her yearly forming a lasting bond between them. Ahhh! The newest episode of Buddy’s Dad dropped today, gah it ended too quickly; I’ve missed these boys. Seeing Bastian and Cesar get down in the bathroom was so hot, and getting that tease of Felipe and Yuki was neat. I hope we get some scenes of those two too! (Not necessarily together I just meant I want to see more of them). Mari and Felipe were together and she cheated? Imma be honest that makes me like her a little less (I felt the same way with David because I felt like Watson and Jax were boyfriends until he got involved. Tbh I’m still sorta iffy about it but whatever that’s why we have alternative endings) So is she with Yuki now or are they just besties? Grandma Ocampo seems like a boss ass lady I’m ready to see more of her, her slapping Yuki upside the head was so funny. Rainer’s new VA was doing a good job he sounds a lot more like Bastian to me now, I still miss the other one but I think it’s because I’m just not used to this one. Excited for the next episode already!

Super glad you enjoyed the episode, and yeah those cousin's interactions are cute, you'll see! Felipe is a hopeless romantic, MaRi wasn't ever going out with him, it's what he thought and she made it clear to him that it was just fun, that's why she let him go. Yuki and her are more partners with benefits and they make money together throwing parties~! Yes, The Rainer VA did a lot of research before trying to voice act Rainer~! And Grammy Ocampo is indeed a BADASS, she's downplaying what happened to her, which can either be bad or good, we'll see. Also Mango I don't mean to bother you but, can you also post this WONDERFUL cute comment on the post? I'd appreciate it a TON <3

Only watched it once, late last night, when I was already tired and getting sleepy. But this was good, a nice intro to your new setup for the main three, MBD characters. Yuki grabbed my attention most, as expected, and held onto it. He has certain charms that I tend to find interesting, so am eager to see lots more of him. I was also pleasantly surprised that he seems smaller in stature, than I first imagined. Noticed this when he hugged on Cesar & Bastian. Rainer's new VA did well. Prefer the OG as Andre Johnson from 'Scared Straight,' anyway, that always felt like a better fit to me. Like the lower register and more gravelly sound this guy's adopted, and that he's not leaning too hard into the unusual accent. His hair staying as is was an improvement, and I really liked that Cesar's extended family were already familiar with him, due to a previous visit. I think Felipe might have a bit of crush on him, and that he's gonna end up fucking Yuki [along w/ everybody else, apparently]. MaRi is a force of nature, as is the Grandmother. So all in all, a solid start, with an opener that I look forward to seeing expanded upon.
