Non-US peeps thinking about it, don't stay up for the new Chapter tonight! (Patreon)

Couple things:

First, in case you haven't seen it, Wraithmarked currently has the biggest book project we've ever done live right now, The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It's taking a lot of time and effort on my part and my teams, so my attention is even more divided than it is on average right now.

Second, and more importantly, I'm actually not at all pleased with how this chapter is going, and it may need a thorough rework or just a total scrap. The scene we left was acute and intense, and I need to really figure out exactly how all characters involved would react to it. What's playing in my head right not feels mega underbaked (probably because of vacation and HHG), so you guys get to see a first really poor run as I wrap wherever this is going, and then likely purge all or most of it as I figure out what I actually want to happen.

So all that said: I'm probably going to be working late on this one (especially since today is a full workday), so if you're not in the US, I wouldn't recommended staying up late for this one if you were thinking about it! It may not drop till well after midnight, regardless pf how baked or not it is.

This... is starting to raise some questions. The neuroline. Its name implies that it travels along nerv endings, branching out to muscles. I imagine that actually reinforced both the muscle and the bones, and probably effects the skin as well at higher levels. This has been implied for awhile now, but we've been getting a look behind the current so to speak. Between the shards in the brain and neuroline coursing through the entire body like that, and knowing now what that looks like AND that it grows... replaces? Is it replacing tissue with mechanical parts or vysetrium? What is the neuroline made of? Is it also vysetrium? The fact that Rei has more than his rank or age should account for... by how much? 5%? 20%? 60%? Is it going to replace everything? Or, I guess more accurately, intwine itself within the tissue? I already know that the person Rei is talking about is himself from the future. I have no doubt about that. That tells us a lot on its own: healing ability, if not from shido then most likely from another cad in the Shard list*. The ability to interact with other peoples CADs? Or is it because it was shido. Imagine, being able to set off someone elses charged ability prematurely or in a way that actually is dereimental to themselves during a match. Rude, Priceless expressions, hilarious, but scary. When is Rei going to figure out how to use the shards? Are the shards a way to use the user uniques of others? Like echo but not? Will it be its own stated ability or will it be closer to using an external? When is he getting externals?
