Content

Hey everyone! As Wraithmarked expands we are trying to find places to streamline our workflow to make sure our energy is targeted in the right direction, and one of the biggest time-sucks that we've found is the non-Stormweaver content on this Patreon.

97% of interactions on this Patreon are Stormweaver-related, so we're debating cutting the content we provide down to match. Changes would include:

No more non-Stormweaver Early Access Chapters.

Additional Stormweaver content (mostly more art and sneak peeks).

Elimination or replacement of the $10 ARC tier.

We would continue to support the $25 and $100 Patreon Exclusive Paperback tiers as they are, of course, which would continue to provide quarterly and yearly exclusives!

This would also help support Bryce more specifically, since currently we allocated 25% of all income from this Patreon to the non-Stormweaver content, which cuts pretty substantially into his salary (Patreon is the only place he take his pay from right now).

So:

Would you leave the Patreon if it was ONLY Stormweaver content (and Limited Editions)?

Truthfully I only joined patreon for Stormweaver. Also I do enjoy the art but if I had my way I would ask that Bryce focus more on the book and do the art stuff later.

Shreyam Kumar

Yeah same! I got to know about this from Stormweaver and it's mostly the Stormweaver content that I truly open on Patreon.

Cole Wilkinson

I actually think you guys underestimate how good Stormweaver is. It gets its hooks into you and makes you want more and more.

Amanda Jones

Bryce ❤ I'll pay $100 for a signed leather bound copy of Iron Prince. 🥰

Joshua Gettys

I agree completely. I'm only here for the Stormweaver chapters. The art is cool but I signed up for the book.

Joshua Jimenez

I agree, and for me it’s not only that it’s good it’s where it could go. I have listened to it on audible literally probably 100 times and probably will continue doing that until the second book is released.

Stuart prior

Im here for stormweaver chapters but may only pay every third month to catch up

maxwolf

Though I am personally in favor of more stormweaver, I think that making this only stormweaver is not the best thing. 1st thought I would like to support Bryce more I don't want to take more money away from the other creators. 2nd If something goes wrong with stormweaver than putting all your eggs in one basket might not go well. And 3rd although most of us might not be into the other titles right now that doesn't mean that we won't get into then later, would you open up another patreon for the other books?

Adam Miller

Personally I highly doubt the amount of art related projects has any significant impact on chapter releases. Unless Bryce is personally creating the art he would be supervising, and that would take comparatively a very small amount of time.

Tim Carter

I only joined for Stormweaver

Adam Miller

100 times? That is roughly 140 days of continuous listening.

Zack Newcomb

I would love to see the shattered reigns series stay on here as well with stormweaver.

Aaron

I also only joined the stormweaver but I have also been meaning to check out that other book he’s writing at some point just because it keeps popping up lol

Lori

Stormweaver is a huge hit and to me it makes sense to focus on it and support the author fully. If we could get Patterson level output from it I’d not only stay but pay more! 😊😊😊❤️

Wraithmarked Creative

It's as Adam says. Bryce is already producing the chapters at as healthy a pace as he can maintain. He isn't a serial writer, sadly. It one of the reasons you guys enjoy the writing so much. The additional work is on his plate as a relaxer and to get you guys really cool stuff, and taking it away to writer more would result in less writing when he burns out and a lower quality of writing as a whole.

DatGuyBidu

In all honesty, i came to the Patreon because of the stormweaver content. The rest is just a happy bonus

Wraithmarked Creative

The other option is to move Stormweaver to Bryce's personal Patreon. But then we don't think this Wraithmarked Patreon would survive, ha...

Joshua L Trossbach

I've read through a couple of other titles that have dropped chapters and downloaded at least one from audible to catch up in the series. Despite that, Stormweaver really is my main draw, so while I would hate to lose the other content, I'd still be waiting with bated breath every Friday hoping for a chapter (no pressure, just another addict looking for his literary fix).

Ira White

I love stormweaver and the early release chapters are the main reason I'm here but loosing the $10 tier would cause me to just wait and buy the book when it came out.

Jeffrey V.

I support the art. I've always told others to invest in that which you enjoy. This happens to be people who make this their living and I like the product they are providing. Removing the other content doesn't bother me either way as it's what the authors are providing the population. I'm only a $10 subscriber so all the other content is just more bang for my buck if I'm being honest as like others I joined for Stormweaver and got more than I thought. Yeah I'm not going anywhere since Stormweaver, I'm hoping, is going for a LONG time.

Cameron M Gilliland

I originally only joined for stormweaver, but while waiting on new chapters and went ahead and read all of their other works as well. Guys, if you haven’t checked those they are REALLY good too! The shattered Reigns books I felt started a bit slow for me, but ended up being one of my favorites

Gessen

Much love to both Jeremy and Bryce's other series, Shattered Reigns, but I'm here for Stromweaver. I'll definitely be grabbing Jeremy's book when it releases, but I'm not here for early access chapters on it.

YourNameHere

I tend to be a little disappointed when it's anything but more storm weaver writing. I care very little about the art or the other books in this patreon, but admittedly I haven't got around to trying out the other series featured here.

Nargoth

I kind of joined for the umbrella, for Bryce specifically, doesn't he already have a patreon specifically for his works? I'll go with the change if that's where its going, but im a little confused.

Jacob Clemens

I've been thinking about looking in to sun and storm anyway, but I joined for stormweaver

Gregg Moses

I personally enjoyed the cover art but I have to admit that I am only a member because I only want to read the chapter releases I don’t need art work or special project updates. For me it’s all about book 2.

Reginald Stuckey

No offense but I only join patreon to appease my stormweaver fix

Perren D'Wolff

I joined for Stormweaver. I have read most of the other books, none of them have grabbed me like stormweaver. To be honest, and I know its petty, I get annoyed whenever I see somthing posted other then stormweaver.

Perren D'Wolff

I do need to ask, what would happen to the current 10$ tier pledges, would they be down graded to 5$ or would there be legacy pledge that no one could join, but existing paterons can stay in?

LawBear2005

I am fine with that. I just joined the patreon for stormweaver. If you can save money and time as well as devote more attention to storm weaver, I am all for it.

Bob72smith

I was here for the book Savage Dominion,The Shattered Reigns Series, Immortal's Ascent, and finally stornweaver. I would like to support any way I can with the other projects please contact me if you want to. I hope you have a good week.

Mark

I'm not willing to pay $25 a month for two chapters. I know you say 2-3 chapters a month but since I started it feels like one chapter every 2 weeks.

Mark

That being said I'm only supporting for stormweaver chapters. I have no interest in the other content.

Wraithmarked Creative

It would be $5 a month still...? We aren't asking for anyone to upgrade to $25 a month?

Mark

$5 would be perfectly fine.

Gabriel Call

I’m completely fine with whatever gets changed on it, as far as the 10$ changed or replaced what are some possible changes that could be happening to it? I’d personally love to see some more personalized merch for stormweaver. Part of the reason I didn’t go for the 25$ a month was I’m not invested in the rest of books, that could change but I’d love to see more focused stormweaver tiers. I can’t proof any of this on mobile so I’m hoping it makes sense!

Gabriel Call

Please say that’s for a Kickstarter and not the 100$ tier cause the wife aggro might be to powerful for 100$ a month 😂😂

Jorja Rhoda

I joined for stormweaver but have really enjoyed all the other content!

John O'Connor

I’m only here for Stormreaver but I don’t think, with the rate of release, that it’s worth paying for every month.

Indrek Kelder

I am here for Stormweaver early chapters only. Not so much impressed by other stuff and as i am not much of a manga-like graphic novels fan, then i dont care about Stormweaver art either. If you could squeeze chapters out couple of days faster and not spend time on art, i would take this. My own imagination produces all the art i need. I like Shirtaloon schedule - shorter chapters but published every (work) day. Your schedule here is less predictable, so every time i get message from Patreon and see its another art piece, there is little disappointment.

Ken Smith

I would stay here if content was reduced to primarily Stormweaver, that being said using this site has introduced me to series that I enjoy.

Devyn

there is a $5 teir that you get the chapters at the same time the people who pay $25

Rachelle Swain

I definitely joined for early chapters and exclusive content, but I dont think there has been a single post since I've joined that I haven't relished. This page has put me on to so many talents and I really appreciate it.

Tred Emanuel

I only joined 4 stormwever!!

Sanan

I wouldn't be happy. I like the diversity of the posts, including the Early Access chapters for authors I'm not as familiar with.

Ira White

I'm assuming you want feed back because you posted a poll. If I'm wrong please ignore what I'm about to say as it's probably to long and might come off as me being a dick. First I only pay two authors for content. You guys and Shirtaloon. That's it. I'm here for the early release content of stormweaver. The art is amazing but I'd pay the 10 bucks a month for the stormweaver chapters alone if they were more consistent. Shirt puts out 5 chapters a week which I think is insane but he bought a house last month and took the entire month off to do it and waved all our fees to do for the month of April to do so, he has a discord page he's active on also something I've never seen before from an author, and he does so with 5, 10, and 15 dollar teirs. All his other teirs have no extra benefits and he still has a few hundred of us that pay more just to help make sure it's worth him to keep up the pace and show our appreciation of the work he does. Now with that being said Stormweaver is that quality of story. I don't know about the rest of them but stormweaver is. I don't know about anyone else but I'd pay 20 a month for 2 stormweaver chapters a week. That's what I pay for 5 of HWFWMs. With no early book release, few art peices and a fully functional discord page that the author actually talks to us and answers questions. (I've been insulted by Shirtaloon for being an American made my entire week). Now I've deleted and re written this a couple of times so I'm not sure if I said this or not but I think shirts completely insane for all of that so I don't expect that from anyone. However I think you all would do about as he does if you did half as much. You don't have to have a discord page although that would be cool. You don't have to put out 5 chapters a week [also would be cool but unrealistic]. You said it yourself most of the activity on this is stormweaver related. Focus on that and if you build it we will come and pay you for doing so. Sorry if this was in anyway insulting or out of line. I didn't mean it be but you posted a poll and it looked like you wanted feed back. I will go back to keeping my mouth shut now lol.

Marz

Personally, I do like the non-warformed stuff, but if you have to cut some stuff out to make things easier, I’m ok with that!

Jenz

Can't afford higher rates but I only pay attention to the warformed stuff.

John Cooke

Personally, I enjoy seeing all of the content on the Wraithmarked Patreon, even though I originally came here for Stormweaver-related content after reading Iron Prince. I think it is very important to support and encourage artistic collectives, such as Wraithmarked, but I also think it is important to recognize that the management, maintenance and administration of any organisation is a drain on the limited resources of time and energy that goes into them. From my perspective, the "ideal" solution would be for Bryce and co to have a person or small group of trusted assistants who can manage the day-to-day tasks for Wraithmarked, looking to Bryce and co for strategic direction and larger decisions, thus freeing up the authors to follow their primary passions, which as far as I can tell are creating engaging worlds (or Universes), interesting characters to explore them, and telling the engaging stories of those characters' adventures, between spending time with Arro. But *my* perspective on this is not one of the important ones - those belong to Bryce and the rest of the Wraithmarked team, on how they want to allocate their time.

Justin Ventura

I’m really here for stormweaver. I also haven’t given the other material a shot yet tbh.

Harry Vermeulen

I’m here for stormweaver. Tried some of the other books but they didn’t grab me as stormweaver does. From a business side it’s always good to focus on your core business first. Only diversify your portfolio when your core business can’t grow anymore. To me it feels stormweaver still has more potential to grow and the other stuff just takes away from it. That’s the business view. But from person perspective I guess everyone wants to do something else now and then and don’t be stuck on 1 project. Goodluck with your decisions.

Celtic Knots

Totally about Stormweaver only!

Danthse

I admit I was brought here through iron prince but I joined for all the content so while I wouldn’t say that I would definitely leave I would think about whether I wanted to continue for just the stormweaver content we are getting now.

Arttu

Purely here for Stomweaver. I hope for more frequent chapters. They interest much more than art etc.

Devin Williams

I would most likely leave if this came into effect. I came here for The Shattered Reign series. However, in the recent months it has seemed more or less like this patreon is alienating its other authors with the sheer amount of stormweaver content. So I feel this would be a big detriment to the patreon if this change were to go into effect.

Corwin

Not sure if I would leave. And I have debated writing this for awhile. But just a couple of suggestions/points. -Bryce is definitely a draw but to be fair Wraithmark Creative is more than 1 author. From a business perspective you have a number of Big Indie Authors, as well as some newer authors. But I only found you because of Stormweaver. But depending on how you want to market it. Have more content that's exclusive to Wraithmark from people like Michael Chatfield, Nobody103, Jeremy Bai, Phil Tucker, G.D. Penman, Luke Chmilenko. Sorry to TL Greylock, J.A. Andrews, Dark Ashton, Perrin Hayes, Ben Galley, David Estes, Demi Harper, S.M. Boyce, and Chris Harris. But I only just found you and I haven't started a book of your solo content yet. It's now on my list though... -Stormweaver jumped the numbers since its basically the only book that most people knew was exclusive to here. -Ask for preview of books that your big indie authors are putting out. And have them tell their fans about Wraithmarked Creative. If they did that and you brought back the $2 art tier maybe you would see a spike. (Michael Chatfield could maybe put up his Ten Realms Rugrat Tattoo collection) -Test a few things before making a definitive change. Wraithmark is a company and should have a bit more going for it than one content. That's really more what Bryce personal patreon is for. I totally think that it's possible to have all the different content up. And create more of a draw. And spread the money around so everyone gets a good amount of it. But like I told Chatfield on his personal patreon I was blown away finding out he was connected to you at all. Which I think is part of the problem. If no one knows about a tree falling in a forest does it really make a sound? I think Wraithmark could do very well moving forward. Just people have to know what's here and what's available. Tao Wong just did a Q&A with KT. Hanna and Craig Hamilton on Starlit Publishing. And they did I think fairly well. And I think Wraithmarked Creative could do Q & As just as well with their authors. Just as a promotional thing to get things rolling for you guys

Danthse

I would also note that as much of a fan as I am of Iron Prince, the Stormweaver crowd can be a bit …enthusiastic, with their views and demands which can be a bit off putting to people here to support Wraithmarked as a whole engaging actively on the Patreon. Particularly so when they deride anything but the Stormweaver content or treat it as if it is depriving them of Stormweaver in some way. This doesn’t mean that the others don’t enjoy the content, however ( which is also emailed to them) and I note that the poll only has a bit over 700 votes as of writing which is only about 60% of the subscribers.

Bill

missing option, I think it is a bad move for your future business growth, and a shitty move towards your other authors. stormweaver is your loss leader, you use it to juice up your other assets, don't let it strangle everything else. that being said I would stay. can we make that a survey option?

KRDiamond

As someone who came here for Stormweaver and did vote that I would stay: I do think having other things here allows us to find new things to potentially read. A big part of why I voted yes is that I also what to make this sustainable for Bryce. Being stretched too thin + tight funds could burn out a great author and none of us want that. That’s why we are on Patreon - we want to support your art. Anyone that wants to turn this into a constant content feed on their terms isn’t respecting the original intent of the site…but I’m getting sidetracked. What if Bryce’s Patreon focused exclusively on all these awesome Stormweaver things and this one focused on balancing between that and the other books? Double post some of the big draw things like the chapters here but maybe save the super specific to Stormweaver fans things like the art for his Patreon. Make it clear to the fans what would happen so the ones that want Stormweaver only know where to move. The rest of us that are open to more books to read can stay in the Wraithmarked one. Pretty sure you have already thought of this option but just wanted to put it out there. I actually originally found this one After finding Bryce’s but since it seemed that I would get Stormweaver + more here I decided to support this one. I haven’t tried the other books yet since I want to give them a fair shot when I have time to indulge rather than while stressed. But if I tried and hated the rest of the content, and you told me that I could get all the same Stormweaver stuff I’m getting now by support him Specifically instead, I would make the switch without any issue.

Joshua Jimenez

Adam, I would love to say I was exaggerating but for the most part I have ran out of books that I want to listen to but in some cases I have finished the book and then immediately restarted it. There had been some breaks yes but not very many. My job lets me listen to books all day long with limited interruptions.
