Finished this Thursday night so I'm scheduling it for a little early Friday morning so people can hopefully catch it before work here stateside 😁 This was a fun little fight to put together.

Cheers!

EDIT: NEVERMIND! I apparently just decided to schedule "in my mind", so happy Thursday night I guess, friends! Lol.

EDIT 2: Just adding a morning ping for anyone who missed the notification cause it got lost in overnight emails cause I'm a moron -_-

A few rules & reminders:

  • Chapters will be dropping as Bryce completes them. That means anywhere from every 1 to 2 weeks on average, though sometimes waits may be longer.
  • Recall that these are rough chapters, with no editing other than a single pass-through as Bryce writes.
  • On a similar note, we are not asking for advice or corrections at this time. If Bryce wants feedback, we will certainly reach out, thank you! If you want to voice concerns or complaints about the chapter, you may now do so over on the Reddit discussion thread! Notifications are turned off on those conversations, so they're a free-for-all now (within the rules of the subreddit, obviously)!

That's it, so without further ado... Enjoy!

Totally awesome, was away for the weekend in a no internet zone, so didn’t get it til last night but it was the first email. Loved the fight, quick and to the point, “this is Firesong” even without Rei. I especially liked seeing Viv stepping up to help Aria after she froze and coming up with the strategy despite her own rage over what happened. Maybe that’s why Viv doesn’t have an ability yet, she has to first get control over her rage and emotions before getting an ability that would make her even more dangerous, especially if it’s going to be a rare and unique ability that we, all the fans believe she’s getting.

yeah, since it's taking a while, when she finally does I think it's going to be a huge Evo + ability, and give her some super speed advantage.

good chapter. nicely closing out the tournament obviously with 1 more thing to finish. i am looking forward to where it goes from here with the team, with the training and how that all changes and with how the situation with Rei's family is going to unfold. great story so far and even more to come.
