Former skater and self-proclaimed history buff. Julia began rising to prominence within her local urban exploration community after being known as one of the only people willing to tackle sites considered either too perilous, or too locked down by security. During one of her expeditions inside an abandoned steel mill at the dead of night, the wall retaining the catwalk she stood on collapsed, sending Julia to the ground and an avalanche of rubble with her. She eventually awoke just as the morning sun peeked through the factory's walls, finding her legs crushed under the rubble to the point of becoming mush held together by skin. After managing to dial the authorities on her phone, she blacked out. When Julia eventually came back into consciousness within the hospital, she found her prognosis to be a strange one. Her doctors had, in an almost unprecedented move, chosen not to amputate her legs after blood samples indicated that she possessed a rare autoimmune condition that would inhibit her body's ability to fight infection after amputation. The decision was made to keep her legs as they were. Two years have passed since Julia's accident, and although any life-threatening damage has since healed, her legs remain terribly crippled. Her right leg remains limp and floppy, the bones from about mid-thigh down having been pulverized into dust. Julia prefers to keep her right leg folded against her other in a "U" shape, with nerve damage resulting in her not feeling much other than the sole of her right foot. By contast, her left leg remains immovably straight and rigid, the bones having healed improperly to the point that none of the joints can even bend. Her wheelchair has since been modified with an additional leg rest that sticks out the front of the chassis, cradling her immovable left leg.
