Hello, everyone!

Lately I've been wanting a more intuitive way to pose characters, so I decided to give hand tracking a try!

I'd actually done something similar before with an app called PlayAniMaker, inside VR. It worked pretty well back then, so I figured I could pull it off again this time and gave it a shot. Turns out, it didn't work.

Unlike VR, when you're only looking at a monitor, you end up seeing things through one eye, so depth perception gets pretty unclear. Because of that, I couldn't judge the distance when trying to grab the character, and just couldn't grab it smoothly.

I thought it would let me control things intuitively, but it ended up being more stressful instead. So it looks like using hand tracking for posing is going to be scrapped.

That said, actually trying it out let me see what works and what doesn't, along with the overall feel of using it, so I'd like to explore other ways to use it.

Aside from hand tracking, there are a few other things I want to try too, so I'll be trying things out and making stuff alongside that.
