This is the Early Access download page for Shoost.

You are free to use the videos and images you create using Shoost for any purpose you wish, including distribution and posting! You can use Shoost for commercial videos and images, or use it for profitable distribution such as Super Chat.

IMPORTANT

The software can only be used by the supporter, and copying and redistributing it to others is prohibited.

We do not issue licenses for corporate use, so if you would like to use the software with multiple members of your company, please support us at the $100 tier. Shared use by company members is permitted.

A video converter tool for Shoost is also available. Please use it to convert transparent videos. → [ Learn more here ]

Network and Data

When Shoost launches, it connects to our server to check for updates. Your device's IP address is sent during this process, but we do not record or store any personally identifiable information, and your data will never be shared with third parties.

Hello, I have a problem: the app (0.8.2) crashes randomly, sometimes after a min, in best case after 10 mins... there is no specific thing that I do before. Are there suggestions what to do, maybe a crash log to see, or former versions to try?

Loving the program! Is there a way to connect the manual camera angle changes to hotkeys? I'd love to be able to record on OBS without the menu showing as I switch angles!

I found a bug. Ever since version 0.7.2, every time I open Shoost from TouchPortal, the window, except for the uppermost left corner, is occupied with empty space and even resizing it does not fix it. TouchPortal is updated to the latest version, and I have tried running it as an administrator, but it still does not help. If I open it manually, by clicking on the exe file, it loads normally.

Curious, what are Shoost's baseline system requirements, especially on the graphics hardware side of things? I run a computer dedicated solely to the VTubing side of the house for various reasons, not the least of which is the reliance on Unity on just about all VTubing and VTuber accessory software. Current machine specifications are as follows: Hewlett-Packard ProDesk 600 G2 with the following: - Core i7 6700 3.4GHz - 16GB RAM - NVidia GeForce GT 1030 for graphics The rest of the stream is assembled by way of three other computers on my LAN. Hi MuRo, I really love using Shoost, thank you for creating it! However, whenever I stream it keeps crashing every 10-30 mins or so, which is not the norm I think. Am I doing something wrong? My CPU usage while streaming is around 60%, and I have 32gb of RAM, so I have no idea what is causing the crash. Looking forward to hearing back from you, as I really love the app but it makes me really sad that it crashes so often TT

Just want to say I love what you've done with Shoost so far, and I had two questions! I can't seem to get my audio to record? It reads as having a level in the audio settings but the recording is silent. As well, the camera movement, for manual mode, is it possible for us to set the framing/zoom for each camera manually? So that we can do live cutting camera to camera to the frames we like? Or am I missing this ability somewhere?

I don't know if it's just me or if anyone else has had an issue with this, but v0.11.2 would not load for me. Upon opening it for the first time, I got the usual "untrusted application" and chose to run anyway (as administrator). It then game me the usual "allow access" dialogue box, and it opened, but from then on, I could not get it to open again. Whenever I try to open it, I get a split second pop up window that displays the Shoost logo with a red box with "!" at the upper left corner (looks like an unread notification icon). Then the window immediately disappears. The title of the window reads: "Shoost_v0.11.2 - Unity 2021.3.28f1_232e59c3d087" I don't know if anyone else has seen this issue, so for the meantime, I am using v0.11.1.

every time I try to load a background image with Layer 1, the image doesn't load and just shows up as black. Any idea of what's going on?

I really would love a self-timer for pictures to be impletemented ;v; it's hard to pose and take pictures without having this function. Would that be possibile in the future?

i'm having a lot of issues adding in backgrounds at the moment...both jpegs and mp4s don't actually load and instead are just black as if it's not there. i've tried both 0.12.0 and going back to 0.11.2 and it's happening on both versions - is there a file limit?

Thank you so much for your hard work! I recently downloaded Shoost v0.13.1 and I saw that the "Blur & Sharpen" it only has the sharpen setting but not the Blur setting for the background. Was it moved or deleted?

2026-09-09 22:00 Unsure if this is a bug but when using a quicktime mov with RGB+Alpha, Shoost does not accept it. If you need a sample file I can DM one!

Thanks for the awesome app! But I’ve got a problem — Shoost keeps minimizing itself and popping up over other windows on my PC, and sometimes it even minimizes other programs too. It also keeps flashing on the taskbar, and when I try to capture it in OBS, it flickers there as well. Any idea what could be causing this?

For some reason, I cannot get shoost's application to open on my computer. It opens fine on my old pc that has windows 10, but my new pc that has windows 11 refuses to open the application. My firewall settings isn't blocking it, so I am not sure what could be causing it to not open even when I run it as administrator.

Hello, i have been trying to use shoost but nothing i have tried gets the program to detect any window/spout2 to capture on shoost, so i am always stuck with [Layer 2 Select] and it never detects anything. Same with any other option. Yes, spout2 is installed, latest version, vtubestudio does allow spout2 capture, it is also ticked in the shoosts settings aswell. Is it a bug or what am i doing wrong?

Hello, MuRo. We are using Shoost_v0.16.3. When outputting via NDI, a noticeable green line appears on the far right of the screen in 1080x1920 portrait mode. However, this does not occur in 1920x1080 landscape mode. Is this a software bug? We are using portrait live streaming. If this is a bug, will it be fixed in a future version? Thank you for developing such excellent software.

Hey, I know we have this little program to change the format of a video, but is there a way to include in it background with audio? A lot of background from booth include audio, and I would be fine with no audio, but the background is just not loading and the program doesnt want to work with a video with audio track as well.

Hey MuRo ! i had the old version of this and recently updates to the newest 17.3 and theres a bug where it keeps forcing Shoost and Vtube Studios to the front of any and all other applications, so if i have it behind a game it pops it up interupting the game or if i have it minimized it force closes both apps, its also forcing my mouse out of games somehow ? (ex in the game PEAK without shoost i can move around freely in one monitor but the second i open shoost my mouse can travel out of game to other monitors) Any recs on how to fix this on my end would be appreciated!

I am using Windows 7 and it runs well when using images and videos. However, I cannot make the Window Capture work at all, I have tried to enter the window name just like the demo. Is there a specific tutorial for this?

The new Chrome Key settings make it so I cant properly remove the background. The Hue Range, Saturation Range and Brightness Range I'm able to get a very very nice removal of the background but the 2 that are there in the newer version I cant :(

Hey! Quick question - where can I submit a bug report? Is there a log file somewhere I can access within the Shoost files that can help with reporting crashes? I just got a BSOD while I had Shoost on full-screen and went to Alt-tab into VTube Studio while attempting to change chroma key settings and it forced my system to reboot. Thought it would be helpful information for you as you continue to work on this really amazing product!

Hello~ Not terribly important, but is there a way for Shoost to capture the audio of imported videos at all? Just for times when we don't want to fire up our recording software and add the audio ourselves, sometimes I just like making a 15s snippet via NVidia Shadowplay. I absolutely adore using this~!

This is such a cool program, and the filters are all so smooth and realistic! I love it! A suggestion I'd want to add for this is to be able to import a .gif file on the layers, it seems a little too heavy to be importing .mp4 at times~

Hi! Just got this today and I want to say that it's been really nice to use so far. A few things on my end as feedback, however (if they're already implemented and I'm just plain missing it, that's fine): - I'm not sure if this is just me, but when capturing VTube Studio, I still get the outer border of the window. - Also if there's a way to implement the option to turn off seeing the mouse on screen in the future, that would also be great! - I love the shake feature for this, but I was wondering if it could be a little more customizable in the future? In terms of like, speed/amount of shaking? Other than that, super excited to see this grow!

Hi! I have been supporting you in silence for a while now but I wanted to ask, if there's a way to capture the screen of the program vseeface? It's very popular with 3D vtubers! It shows up when I want to window caputure it in shoost, but the screen disappears a second later and I have to very awkwardly import vseeface into obs and then import obs into shoost :/

I found a bug actually, when it isn't full screen, the color selector for the effects doesn't appear whereas if it is full screen, it works perfectly fine

I'm really looking forward to using this tool! Unfortunately, I didn't get far before getting stuck. I can't get the UI bar with the "Layers, Effects, Settings" buttons to appear. It was showing up for a few minutes, but after I closed and re-started the program, I only have access to the layers and can only put in my model and background. Is there a hotkey to bring that top part down?
