Yeeah by this point you should already know that only one worldline exists at a time. The visual novel specifically points this out. Alternate worldlines are only the many infinite possibilities of the journey but because they're all linked together like threads of a rope it all still leads to the same result with SERN taking over the world and Mayuri supposedly dying here. So EVERY worldline shift, completely changes the world and the previous one no longer exists.

Basically Suzuha is saying no matter what you do, it will all lead to the same result which is why Mayuri dies no matter what. Even if Moeka and the rounders doesn't kill her, something still will happen that will lead to her death. The only way to shift it to another rope is to go to certain special points of divergence that shift to other ropes. The creation of the time machine in 2010 happens to be the closest point of divergence to another rope. For example in the VN Suzuha said the Y2K incident in 2000 was another fixed point of divergence. Basically saying, in this current rope Y2K was nothing but hype.. but on a different rope it actually happened and was the cause for whatever future of that worldline is. In meta terms, it works like a visual novel. The heroine routes are the ropes, the small choices you make are the threads (worldlines) that could slightly change the path but will still lead to the same route ending. But there are specific events (flags) that based on your choice of action could lead you down this ending or shift you to a completely different heroine route with its own set ending.
