I completely understand how Nic feels. I've never been a fan of musical-style shows, and I admit that, the first time I watched Hazbin Hotel, whether it be the pilot or the first episode, I initially skipped the songs because I thought that I wouldn't like them. But I eventually decided to check the songs out and now I can't stop listening to a playlist of all the songs in the first season, because they're really good, they tell a story and they show a bit of each character's personnality. That's exactly what songs in musical shows should be. Overall, I'm really glad that Viv was able to give life to her imagination, because that's the kind of original content we need. Something that pushes the boundaries of classic mediums to give life to new stories. Helluva Boss already showed the potential of the Hellaverse, and Hazbin Hotel so far has pushed this even further (I re-watched the pilot recently, and the jump in quality in the main show is incredible.
