Luv.OT13💎

Tbh I would love more reaction like this every once in a while. I watch Stephanie videos sometimes. Her storytelling is so fun and keeps me intrigued

God, I remember that incident!! I was just a new fan of the untamed, then shit let loose. For now, I'm just contented that Yibo and Xiao Zhan are successful and living their best lives. They deserved all their fame!!

I'm just glad both Xiao Zhan and Yibo hv been doing so well~ Xiao Zhan's literally the most popular actor in china right now (consistently no. 1 ) and his influence will continue to give him more fortunes. Both of them will keep shining. It's just so saddening they can't interact to eo in public up until now 🥲 and it's also a fact toxic fandoms and shippers' crazy fantasies will always be there in idols life 💔

Tina

Hopefully you guys can do more reactions to Stephanie’s videos in the future 😊💜 Like the Burning sun scandal for example

D D

Thank you thank you for reacting to this! I remember we suggested this for you guys to watch and I'm glad you guys decided to. It's seriously crazy what a Fandom and platform could do to anybody, including a famous celebrity such as Xiao Zhan. I'm just glad to see he's doing way better now and his career is soaring!

Armys_Fr🍉

It's still painful up to this day. Plus I became a fan right after the scandal...

.

You should watch the rotten mango more!! It’s her true crime account! I really enjoyed the one about the teenagers stealing the car, and the burning sun scandal. they both highlight how light korea’s laws are.

M.

Omg please watch more rotten mango videos!! I highly recommend her burning sun scandal video

zaltaas

Same! I never got to experience them interacting in real time 😭

Happy happyyy

Actually, these types of fanfics are everywhere, we're so used to them and even share them with our friends to laugh about how ridiculous they are all the time. So the existence of that fanfic is not really a big deal. But TU came out in 2019 and this incident took place at the start of 2020, XZ was very very famous back then with a big amount of fans. In China, most of the fanbases are split into 2 types which are "couple fans" and "career fans". "Couple fans" are fine with the nasty things but "career fans" aren't. Even now, XZ and WYB's "career fans" are still fighting each other and hating on each celebrity because they hate the ship which is still affecting both careers. After the incident, XZ and WYB never interact with each other again, on screen, no one knows if they are still meeting each other off-screen or not anyway. As someone who's either XZ or WYB fan, I'm not shipping them, I'm not even a fan of TU (I just like this show), but I feel kind of bad for both. WYB was also attacked by XZ's fans to the point he had to sue them. And they were close before too, it's sad to see their friendship end like that.

China cannot fathom the mind of a Chinese girl with ao3 account 😂

What WWX experienced, the actor playing him experienced it in real life. Imagine just doing your best, doing what you think is right, and out of nowhere, people started slandering you for something you were not involved in, for something you did not do. This is basically how the people and cultivators prosecute WWX in the Untamed, the same thing happened to Xiao Zhan. Maybe as wwx said, people are not interested to know if you are guilty or not, they just want a common target and appear "good" by joining the majority. Look how people just joined the "I am a commoner and I hate Xiao" trend by then. They just want to appear "righteous" without thinking logically. Sometimes fiction is a reflection of realities. I am just happy Zhan had remain strong through these times. Sadly, not all celebrities can survive such prosecution. On another note, just to correct some things in the video. Street Dance China Season 3, where WYB first appeared, was filmed and aired after the Untamed. It was around mid 2020, I think. Whereas, Produce 101 was filmed and aired during the time they are filming The Untamed in 2018. I remember that Zhan was even a guest in one of the episodes of Produce 101, which I personally think WYB had lobbied the production for it. Funny thing is, when the episode aired, where Zhan guested, Yibo and Zhan appear as if they don't know each other. But in reality, at that time, they are already close to each other and Zhan would then tease Yibo with his dance moves and Yibo was the one who taught Zhan the dance moves while they are filming, all of this was shown in the bts of the Untamed. Clearly, what they show publicly, is a contrast of their real interactions. Right now, both of them are thriving. Xiao had been filming dramas and movies consecutively. Whereas Wang had been Olympic torch bearer in Paris. I just wish for them to be happy and healthy. Regardless of whether they do interact privately or not, I hope that the friendship built in the Summer of 2018, remains.

I love them so much. I hope they grow more and more, become more and more successful in their lives, get all the smiles they deserve. It’s sad how they can’t interact openly with each other after all this. I miss seeing them together, goofing around with each other. They were truly really good friends. I hope they still talk to each other off camera on phones or something. Rules like that in China are literally shocking. You can’t even talk to the person who became your partner in the series after the promotions. I really wanted them to do another series. How that one fan ruined the whole thing. She/He must be feeling really guilty, so should she. These are the reasons why I don’t like to read fanfics. You’re literally promoting these even if u just read it for shock or to just see what’s in there cuz the writer is getting views. It’s still gonna be viral. Also in countries like China and Korea where celebrities really have to 50 times before doing anything, doing these things is being so ignorant. This can ruined ones career and whole life. So please guys be careful .
