In Mayan Religion, Chaak is primarily a Rain god but he is also the holder of thunder and lighting so that's why I made him the nephilim of Thunder.  I was surprised to discover that he has an axe which he uses to summon thunder and lightning during storms, which made me realize the similarity he has with the Nordic God Thor.  As for the animal motif, Chaak was heavily associated with reptiles, specifically toads/ frogs, so you can se his headdress resembling the head of one.

I finished this design today but I'm not sure yet if, like the other nephilim, this will be the definitive design for Chaak. I feel like his design could be way better but for now I will leave it as it is and maybe revisit it later.

Chaak is a god that as a Yucatecan person I hold dearly in my memories because when I was a kid I often heard people blame him when we had heavy rain: here comes Chaak again, it seems he is furious this time hahaha. I often cursed him myself when i was younger. He is one of the gods that is easy to spot when it comes to architecture since he is often depicted with a long hook nose, his head is often used as motif in certain ancient constructions.

It seems that for now, the Nephilim are complete! I might revisit chaak later but I can finally rest easy knowing a important  part of the concepts of Arcadia is done.

I love this design and palette

I love your designs so much. They're ornate, crackle with energy, and just leave me so inspired.
