August Releases (Patreon)

The forge has been busy since I returned from holidays.

Unfortunately, work has had a habit of getting in the way of the fun stuff (thanks 300 emails!). The good news is that August's releases are coming together nicely and will be available during the week of the 10th of August.

This month we're continuing The Forge Ahead with two new additions to the growing Evil Dwarf range.

For Adepts will receive:

Evil Dwarf Elite Infantry Kit

Masters & Merchants will receive:

Evil Dwarf Elite Infantry Kit

Evil Dwarf Army Standard Bearer

Any exclusives for August

As always, the Fellsmith Sorcerer is included for all members and 30% off the entire Cults3d store (which hit and surpassed 1k followers!).

Evil Dwarf Elite Infantry Kit

The Elite Infantry have been designed to stand apart from the rank and file while remaining fully compatible with the rest of the modular Evil Dwarf ecosystem.

The kit includes:

10 x Heads

10 x Shoulder Armour (spiked, skulled, hulkier)

2 x Elite Shields

2 x Upper Bodies

6 x Lower Plated Bodies

3 x Dark-Forged Hand Weapons in two poses

2 x Dark-Forged Great Weapons in two poses

2 x Dark-Forged Halberds in two poses

Command Options

2 x Optional Chainmail Cloaks

The goal with this kit was when you look across the battlefield, there should be no mistaking who the veterans of the legion are. Heavier armour, darker forged weapons (all weapons will come with a non-flaming option too so you can use it for other models) and more imposing details should help these warriors stand proudly at the heart of your army.

The plated lower bodies are in proportion to the 'standard' scale armour bodies of your Evil Dwarfs, so they will fit in and still be mixed and matched to suit your imagination.

Evil Dwarf Army Standard Bearer Kit

Joining the Elite Infantry is the Army Standard Bearer Kit.

This is a hero model designed to inspire the legion and give your army a true focal point.

While the pose is a little less modular than most of the range, that was a deliberate decision to better capture the heroic nature of the model. Even so, it remains compatible with the wider Evil Dwarf range, allowing you to personalise it with existing components.

The kit includes:

1 x Icon Army Banner

4 x Magical Standards

I'm really happy with how the magical standards are coming along and I can't wait to show them off properly. Dramatic was the inspired term.

The Forge Keeps Growing

Every release continues to build on the same philosophy that started this project, creating a modular Evil Dwarf army where every new kit expands the possibilities of everything that came before it.

It's one of the most rewarding parts of the project, and many of the ideas making their way into these kits have been shaped by conversations here on Patreon. The Forge Has Spoken, and you'll continue to see those ideas finding their way into future releases.

Thank you all for your patience while I got back into the swing of things after the break, and thank you, as always, for your continued support.

I think these are going to be two really fun kits to build.

Now... back to the forge.
