The Legion Rallies: Army Standard Bearer Released (Patreon)
Content
August's second release has arrived.
The Evil Dwarf Army Standard Bearer is now available to all Forge Masters, bringing a new heroic command model and a selection of imposing standards for your legions to march beneath.
Designed to stand proudly amongst the ranks, the Standard Bearer is a little more deliberately posed than most of the range to capture that heroic feel, while still retaining compatibility with the wider Evil Dwarf ecosystem.

The banner system is also compatible with existing banner components across the range, so there's plenty of opportunity to mix things up and create the standard that best represents your own legion.

This will be a very interesting Design Diary coming up!
August – Veterans of the Legion
Of course, the Army Standard Bearer isn't marching alone.
Also released this month is the new Evil Dwarf Elite Infantry Kit.
It's a massive standalone kit containing 70 modular components, including:
Heavily armoured bodies
10 heads
10 shoulder armour options
Heavy shields
Dark-forged hand weapons
Dark-forged great weapons
Halberds
Standard Bearer and Drummer command options
Optional chainmail cloaks
Together, these two releases were designed around the Veterans of the Legion theme from The Forge Ahead: heavily armoured elite warriors accompanied by the great standards of their legion.
And, importantly, they're not isolated kits. Components remain compatible with the growing Evil Dwarf range, so August adds another sizeable collection of parts to the ever-growing bag of Evil Dwarf Lego.
The Forge Keeps Growing
Thank you again for all the suggestions and feedback leading into these releases. Some of the ideas discussed in the comments, particularly around what makes an elite warrior visually stand apart, have absolutely fed into the design process.
I can't promise every suggestion will become a model, but they're all read and considered. Some influence what I'm working on now, while others quietly find their way onto the scratch pad for another kit or perhaps a future Furnace Cult.
August's legion is now assembled.
Next stop on The Forge Ahead... September gets considerably darker and magical.
