MyMiniFactory (MMF) file distribution for MeshyMesh Patreon members has now been setup. This means your monthly releases can be added directly to your MMF library instead of you having to download them on Cults3d.

This will start from September's release onwards i.e. this month's releases have now been shared.

What's changing?

Very little!

Patreon remains the home of your MeshyMesh membership. Releases, previews, news and everything else will continue here as normal.

Cults3D releases and your Patreon discount will also continue as normal.

MyMiniFactory is simply an optional, more convenient way to receive your MeshyMesh releases, with eligible files added directly to your own MMF library.

In-Post monthly exclusives which come out occasionally, will still be limited to the post for you to grab before the month is out.

How does MyMiniFactory work?

Many of you will already be familiar with MyMiniFactory. For those who aren't, it's a platform specifically built around 3D printable files, with a library system for keeping and accessing your STL collection.

Once I share an eligible MeshyMesh release with you, it is added to your MMF library, where you can access and download it whenever you need it.

If you use the same email for Patreon and MMF

You're good to go!

Once your Patreon email is added to the appropriate MeshyMesh group, your files should automatically appear here:

If you use different emails for Patreon and MMF

I'll be distributing files using the email address associated with your Patreon membership.

MyMiniFactory can send a notification/redeem email to that address with instructions for accessing your files. You don't need to change your existing MMF email to match your Patreon email.

If you don't have a MyMiniFactory account

No problem. You can create one to access your MMF library and the files shared with you.

Using MMF is completely optional, so you don't need to create an account if you'd rather continue using Cults3D as you do now.

Keep an eye out for an MMF email

I may send an MMF redemption notification when the month's releases are first distributed. I'm avoiding sending additional notifications every time I update the membership list during the month.

If you're expecting files and can't see them, check:

Your MMF library/notifications

The email address associated with your Patreon account

Spam/junk

Gmail's Promotions tab

If your Patreon and MMF accounts already use the same email, you don't need to wait for an email. Check your MMF Shared Library first.

FYI: Septembers releases have now been shared to MMF users. A notification will be sent after this post goes out.

FAQ

What about Cults3D?

Nothing changes.

I'll continue releasing the monthly files through Cults3D as well. MMF is simply an additional option for those who prefer having releases automatically added to their library.

Will older MeshyMesh releases be shared retrospectively?

No. MMF distribution begins with the September release and continues from there.

Previous releases aren't being retrospectively added through this system.

How often is the MMF membership list updated?

The MMF distribution list comes from the current Patreon membership list.

Unfortunately, there isn't an automatic integration for the way I'm doing this, so I need to export the Patreon list and update MMF manually.

I'll do this:

On the 1st of each month

Every Saturday morning

Once your email is added to the appropriate group, any files currently shared with that group will be added to your MMF library.

So, if you join or change tiers between updates, don't panic if your files don't appear immediately. You'll be picked up in the next scheduled update OR if you want the files right away you can still grab them from Cults3d.

What about the 30% Cults3D discount?

Even better: your same 30% MeshyMesh Patreon discount code will work on both Cults3D and MyMiniFactory.

You can simply use whichever platform you prefer.

This shared discount code will come into effect from October 1st and be included in the usual Codes posts you get each month.

What about MMF Tribes?

It's something I'm planning.

For now, I want to make sure MMF file distribution is working smoothly for everyone before adding another piece to the system.

I do intend to launch a MeshyMesh MMF Tribe in the future, although I haven't decided when yet. Patreon will continue to run alongside it regardless, so there's no plan to force anyone to move platforms.

Hopefully this makes receiving and managing your MeshyMesh releases a little easier!
