The Hobgoblin Mercenaries – Core Kit has now been released, bringing some suitably untrustworthy reinforcements to the Evil Dwarf Legions!

Treacherous, cowardly and vicious, Hobgoblins serve the Evil Dwarfs as expendable warriors, scavengers and general troublemakers. Loyalty is not their strongest quality. Neither is courage. But they do have their uses as cannon fodder.

There will be a very interesting Design Diary on these guys coming soon!

MMF Libraries will have the files shared and may take a day or two to appear.

Hobgoblin Mercenaries – Core Kit

As with the rest of the MeshyMesh range, I've designed the Hobgoblins around modularity and customisation.

The kit includes:

10 bodies – 8 warriors and 2 bowmen

10 heads – including a leader

9 hand and leader weapon options – axes, daggers, scimitar and Evil Dwarf axe, plus a fist

Short bow, arrows and quiver options

5 shoulder armour options

4 shields

Command components for a Leader, Standard Bearer and Musician

Supported and unsupported files

Grouped supported files for more efficient printing

The quiver can be fitted to any body, allowing you to build additional bowmen, while the various weapons, heads and armour provide plenty of opportunities for mixing things up.

And because the Hobgoblins are rather fond of acquiring superior Evil Dwarf equipment, shoulder armour from the wider Evil Dwarf range is also compatible.

Naturally, whether they acquired that armour legitimately is another question entirely.

More Hobgoblins to Come!

This kit also establishes the foundation for something I'd like to explore further — Hobgoblin Mercenary Companies.

Much like the Furnace Cults, the idea is to create different Hobgoblin formations with their own equipment, fighting styles and character, all building upon the Core Kit.

For now, we've got the basic mercenary soldiery. Where they go from here will be part of the fun!

October Rewards – Conquest & Mercenaries

With the Hobgoblins now released, October has brought three very different additions to the growing Evil Dwarf range.

Blacksmoke Rotor

An absurdly over-engineered flying war machine that really shouldn't be capable of flight.

Build the standard Rotor or heavier Bomber variant, with steam cannon, heavy flamer, quad gun, rockets and bombs.

I made this one largely because I thought flying Evil Dwarf war machines would be cool. Sometimes that's reason enough!

Corrupted Siege Giant

A towering, heavily armoured brute standing approximately 103mm tall.

With interchangeable heads, hooked blades, drills, spinning blades, cannon and other weapon options, the Giant can be equipped for just about any form of battlefield destruction.

And yes, it also has some Evil Dwarf Lego compatibility!

Hobgoblin Mercenaries – Core Kit

Our newest modular infantry range, bringing warriors, bowmen and command options to the battlefield, with plenty of opportunities for future expansion.

All three kits are included in October's rewards for paid Patreon members!

Why Join the Forge?

If you've been following MeshyMesh for free and are thinking about building your own Evil Dwarf Legion, October is a great time to jump in.

Paid membership gives you more than just the monthly releases:

Monthly STL rewards – New miniatures, units, monsters and war machines, with rewards according to your membership tier.

A growing modular range – Every compatible kit adds more options to your Evil Dwarf bits box.

30% off the entire MeshyMesh catalogue on both Cults3D and MyMiniFactory, including past releases.

Welcome Pack – Additional models and components to get you started.

MyMiniFactory distribution – Eligible monthly rewards are shared directly to your MMF Library, where they remain available to download.

Community involvement – Polls, Design Diaries, previews and opportunities to help shape what comes out of the forge next.

Forge Master extras – Additional exclusive kits, upgrades and content for members who want to go further.

You can also continue using the monthly 100% reward codes on Cults3D if that's your preferred platform.

The aim has always been to build more than a collection of individual miniatures. I want to create a huge, interchangeable Evil Dwarf range where you can build armies that are genuinely your own.

And there's still plenty I want to make!

They look terrifying and beautiful at the same time 👌 very good job! I much prefer this approach for the body 💪

MeshyMesh Miniatures

Thank you! Glad you like them 🙌 the test prints and refinement to make them more gaunt was so worth it. Was exhausted by the end of making them haha

They look awesome! They have a maniacal cruel look. They look like the sort of people who would align with the Chaos Dwarfs.
