I read several of you have been unable to find the non-extended version of TT... I didn't even know there was an extended version. I just searched "Watch Tropic Thunder" on Google and clicked on the Paramount Plus link for it. That link is here:

https://www.paramountplus.com/movies/video/26DFYvRxPukwiQsNS596_MwDDvPnYWyw/

I know that's not convenient for anyone who doesn't have a PP subscription, but I didn't know there was another version.

PRIME VIDEO also has it: https://www.amazon.com/Tropic-Thunder-Ben-Stiller/dp/B001O6W9QC

PEACOCK TV has it: https://www.peacocktv.com/watch/asset/movies/tropic-thunder/dec6b844-7250-3dab-8944-9c0733597d67

I know this sucks for anyone without any of these services, but I just thought I'd list them for whoever might have access.

Oh, and there's a listing of places here: https://www.justwatch.com/us/movie/tropic-thunder

I wish you watched the directors cut but that's okay, still hilarious! 😎

I didn't know either that there was director's cut until I tried to sync up with your video and noticed the time difference.

Its kinda hilarious that one would have to pay to watch a slightly inferior version of a movie (none of which are even available in my country), meanwhile every pirate site in existence only possesses the directors cut lol, bless streaming services

THE GOOSH!

I wonder why that is? Must be the pirate sites generally have the DVD or BLU-RAY versions?

Lewd Angel

Yep, pirate sites always keep up to date with whatever the newest version of a movie is. Legal streaming sites can't be bothered to dish out the extra liscence money to do that half the time, at least when it comes to different cuts

V_VMat

Funny because US YouTube has the short version, while Finnish YouTube has the Director's Cut.

It’s for this exact reason why the “sync up” watch-alongs are severely outdated and need to stop being utilized, by everyone 🤣

Dylan Carpenter

I had no idea there was an extended version either. For what it’s worth, I watched the Peacock version (as that’s what I have, no PP) and it synced up perfectly fine with your reaction. Started and ended at the same points, and never had any moments where it felt like we were watching something different

So much hilarious stuff was cut in the original version. If you get a chance you should watch the director's cut on your own, It's worth it!
