I didn't catch the OJ Simpson lawyer reference when I watched this show growing up, "If a man's filled with glee, that man must go free!"", even Batman was mocking him, still not as good as the South Park Chewbacca defence though, since they mocked OJ this episode I feel like bringing one of Norm's old jokes, may he rest in peace. "O.J. Simpson's lawyers say they don't want the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman in the courtroom during the trial. They're afraid the presence of the family members will just remind O.J. of how much more killing he still has to do." Little side note by the way, as of this episode Penguin has changed, he no longer has his Danny DeVito inspired design, and is a bit more normal, he's also "semi-reformed" as a legitimate business man now, it's a bit of character growth they wanted to continue from the episode about him trying to reform a while ago.

So fun fact, there was a short movie involving a batman/superman teamup where Joker DOES throw Bruce wayne off the side of a building in Metropolis, which is what Bruce mentions at the club! I really like it when they keep the continuity consistent. Its Called Batman Superman World's finest, and I would highly recommend it along with Mystery of the Batwoman.

I really liked the addition of that development to Penguin's character. And I think it makes the dynamic of being the legit villain that Batman can't quite get to as being a reminder that not all villains are so open about their crimes.
