Yea, while a lot of the techniques/methods in baki are based on real life ones, the author will usually end up falling back on the rule of cool in the end. Also makes it impossible to have a true comparison of strengths in this anime because inevitably someone will say "but can that fighter punch out an earthquake?!?"

All jokes aside, while i do love the slightly more serious aspect of some earlier fights, if anyone ever tells you Baki is or used to be a serious martial arts show, just point them to this

The creator of Baki is insane lol Baki series in a nutshell: If you blink fast you can get dust out of your eyes...-> If you blink a thousand times per second you become completely immune to 10 flashbang grenades to the face. With Chinese martial arts I've mastered this! Shit like that lol. This series is just so much fun cause of how ridiculous it is. It only gets more and more insane.
