i would agree that the writing/story of baki isn’t that strong, but the fights are so fun, entertaining and over the top that it more than makes up for it for me 😂

Ruuji Hasegawa

I personally feel the writing gets overshadowed quite a bit by the absurdity and insanity of everything that goes around in Baki. Nevertheless, the show is a blast regardless! Didn't expect you to watch this ova in particular, but it's always nice to rewatch the manga music videos!

Yea, they definitely rely on the action, which is fortunate, because the fights are excellent!

Yeah, the animation and voice acting take a dramatic step up for the 2018 series. Also, you tried doing thumb pushups after watching Goku do them in TFS's parody of DBZ: World's Strongest. Your thumbs did not thank you XD.

The english dub is pretty good for the most part, I'd say the only voice I don't actually like is Yujiro who sounds too young, kinda like a what I imagine Yujiro would sound like before his balls dropped heh, but other than that it's fine.

I’m a Baki fan. I’m going to tell you that the fights are about to get so much more unrealtic. They will progressively get more wild so be ready to suspend your disbelief. I will also say voice acting, fights, story telling, and animation (especially after the first part of return) gets alot better.

So far the we've punched an earthquake, cut "optic nerves" by rubbing your finger against someone's neck, and watched a 13 year old out power a 600lb mutant backflipping gorilla. This series is and was always unrealistic, nothing coming up tops a 16 year old winning the Vietnam War barehanded.😂

That might've been the most spoiler heavy animation I've ever seen from an official company. I've never seen the OVA, but that basically covered the first episode or two which is whatever. Why make an intro with important manga panels from arcs that to this day haven't even been animated yet though 😭

I'd highly recommend watching the sub for the newer seasons, all of the voice actors fit the characters much better
