That Shanks feat is kinda insane considering that Kaido nor Big Mom one shot Kid with their attacks. Poor Killer was just collateral dmg. Definitely Kid's fault for being a one-armed redhaired pirate when Shanks did it first

Sometimes you tend to forget that shanks it's a pirate lad like Luffy and everyone else. No matter if he never showed it he has four wanted to reach the one piece. Unfortunately it's an edible and that they're going to have to face each other in the future. We'll just have to wait and see how that goes.

Yeah this was never going to end any other way, still, a lesson has to be taught at some point, this one was just a painful one to learn. Also, a Luffy v Shanks showdown has been inevitable from the start, Luffy has stated before, all the way back on Punk Hazard, that he plans to take down all of the 4 Emperors. Kaido and Big Mom are out for the count, that only leaves Blackbeard and Shanks, and i can definitely see Shanks being a stepping stone for Luffy to truly be able to compete with Blackbeard, the only question is what tone will that fight have? Also also, slightly related note but, i've seen a good number of people fullheartedly believe this was it for Kidd, and i mean it it, as if he's dead and written out. Fam, if Oda brought back a useless ass character like Pell, pushed a villian as ancient as Crocodile, and has kept Law and Bonney still relevant he sure as shit won't be writing out Kidd that easily lol. The Straw Hats heading to Elbaph was always gonna be a thing, and i get the feeling we'll be seeing a familiar, if pretty scarred up, face there agian
