I understand Hank's frustration on being deceived this entire time and wanting just cause to bring down Walt. However Walt does bring up valid points as what happens in 6 months when he's gone from Cancer and more importantly how does it look for Hank's reputation that he as a DEA member has a brother in law that runs a Meth empire with Gustavo Fring? Like there are tons of ramifications as Walt pointed out that will destroy the entire family.

In fact we've already seen how it shook out for Hank's former boss and he was just an acquaintance of Gus. He just knew him as a local business owner that sponsored the police. He had Gus over for a BBQ once or twice and it cost him the job. Hank's situation looks so much worse.
