I was just at the store and I ran into a fellow anime nerd. Our conversation got me wondering what is you guys' favorite individual arc in anime? Mine is - as you can tell from the picture - the Chimera Ant Arc of HxH.

We'll see if One Piece can overtake it by the time it's over or if another contender comes along, but for now that arc is pure perfection to me!

I don't know if I have a favorite anime arc. My favorite manga arcs are split between Claymore's Northern War Arc and Chainsaw Man's International Assassin Arc

Shibuya Incident from JJK or Whole Cake Island from One Piece. I'm sure there's other arcs I would rank higher but my memory is shit. But those two arcs are 2 of my favorites

Elves arc from black clover, school festival and ice kaguya from kaguya sama, final war MHA... Uh, it's tough. There's a dandadan arc that won't be animated for a few seasons that will easily be in my favorite list.

This is mostly nostalgia but the chunnin exams still hold a special place in my heart and I could watch gaara vs lee anytime. Note I'm heavily biased since naruto was what I grew up with so it's hardwired into me. If I'm not going by nostalgia it would be kengan ashura, the kengan annihilation tournament was incredible especially in the manga.

If we're just talking the anime, then the Egghead arc in One Piece is definitely becoming one of my favorites over Wholecake (I loved both in the manga so to see them animated is fun). The Frieza/Namek arc in DBZ is a nostalgic favorite of mine. But tbf I actually don't watch a ton of anime, I'm not a weeb.

Mine is also from Hunter x Hunter. It's The Phantom Troupe Arc (the one with the auction) because Kurapika is one of my favorite characters ever and seeing him finally get a win over the Phantom Troupe was very satisfying. The Heavens Arena Arc is a very close second, though. Some might disagree with me because of Kurapika's motivations being heavily revenge based. While I agree with that sentiment, it's very understandable as to why he'd want to get back at them and he's such an entertaining and fascinating character that I want to see him win.

There are a lot of great anime arcs, but I'm mostly manga reader; Bleach Soul Society/Rukia rescue arc, Naruto Pain arc and OP Wano are definitely on the top, HxH has few good arcs like CA and Phantom Troupe arcs. And there's definitely tons of smaller anime arcs that I just can't think of right now.

It would be fun to do a Poll Tournament on the YouTube channel to rank the best anime arc. Like we did with Naruto characters and Waifu Tournament. We haven't done one of those in a while, would be an interesting debate on which arc wins 😁

There's so many great ones that I feel like no one is saying. The Kyoto arc from Rurouni Kenshin is incredible. The Anti-spiral arc from Gurren Lagann was fantastic even if some of the big moments towards the end were silly like drowning in space as though it was water somehow lol. Someone did mention these, but YYH Dark Tournament and Chapter Black were both ridiculously good.

I respect that. It's my favorite anime and all the arcs are great imo. It comes down to personal taste between which of those two you prefer. Starting with the chapter black arc, the tone of the story shifted. The characters started feeling like they were burdened by the world, from trauma etc. And part of it is just that everyone was growing up and maturing. It's great writing, I just personally had more fun when the show had a bit more innocent, and the dark tournament was my favorite 👌🏼.

Mine's probably the Succession War from the Hunter x Hunter manga. Granted it's recency bias since it's still ongoing. If it's strictly anime then probably the Phantom Troupe arc in Yorknew.

Thousand Year Blood War from Bleach is currently top for me. Idk if it's actually the best for me or if it's just the freshest in my mind because it's still coming out weekly.

My issue with this is that my favourite Martial Arts Tournament in Dragon Ball is the first. I just love the sheer silliness of that arc. But for emotional weight, the 23rd is the best.

Anime wise the ruhenhiem village arc in Monster. Light Novel wise it's the Magic God Othinus arc in A Certain Magical Index. And for Manga the Kyoto arc in Rurouni Kenshin

If I had to go by Arcs: GaoGaiGar: Final, Getter Robo: Shin Getter Robo manga, Lyrical Nanoha: Nanoha A's, Spice and Wolf: Gold Heist Arc, Dragon Quest Dai: 2nd attempt to reach King Vearns Sky Citadel/The ground battle that occurs before and during it it's assault, Rayearth: Debonair Arc. Twin Star Exorcists: Final battle against Sakanashi.

While i agree he has one of the best stories, they are talking story arcs not character arcs. So you could go for the Golden Age arc, there is the church with the "angels". Personally i really liked the war arc that ended with Ganishka.

Going to have to go with the Pain arc from Naruto Shippuden. Back in school everyone couldn't wait for it to come out

I think you will be surprised how well written is succession arc (better than ant arc at this rate) if they ever make hunter hunter season 2😂
