I still think those NECCO wafers tasted even worse. They went extinct when the NECCO company went under (they also made the hearts). But another company got the rights to continue poisoning us a couple years later. When Bender was singing Daisy to the ship that was the song that the very first computer with a voice synthesizer was programmed to sing to demonstrate its capability. It's also a 2001: A Space Odyssey reference, but I don't know if you've seen that movie so I won't spoil it for you just in case.
