so Ash caught those 30 tauros's a good while ago now, but the episode were he did it was banned... because a cowboy pointed a gun at Ash... have we seen guns in this series multiple times already, yes, have we seen worse like James tossing bombs at Ash hanging over a waterfall, yes, but for some reason that one incident was too egregious to show in the west. Honestly I don't mind Gary, or his videogame version Blue, he serves his role pretty well, the obnoxious rival you want to beat, but he does show some good sides to himself every now and then, he's willing to admit when he realises he's wrong, and he has grown up a bit since we first met him way back in episode 1, his rivalry with Ash is more friendly now.

Lad I don't know if anyone has mentioned this here in the comments but this episode, I believe, was tied to the first pokemon movie. That explosion scene with team rockets boss to be specific. That figure that you saw flying off is the main antagonist of the first pokemon movie 😁
