The poison was likely put in Joffrey's cup, not the entire wine carafe. Ser Dontos was pretty invisible, being the king's fool, so he'd have had plenty of opportunity to move about without being actively noticed.

if you watch the ceremony very closely you can tell who and when joffrey was poisoned, also, no, you dont know who is fighting yet. But tyrion vs one armed jamie would be quite the duel!
