It's hard to believe that Brock would be leaving the team! Maybe this crisis will somehow bring him back!

Brock's decided to follow his heart, go be the best... breeder that you can be with Professor Ivy... in retrospect I am a bit surprised no one at 4Kids or the Pokemon company ever tried renaming that to something like "Pokemon Raiser" lol. Brock more or less raised his 9 younger brothers and sisters by himself, so it kind of makes sense why he'd feel such an attachment to Ivy and her messy family, plus of course if he was ever going to leave it would be for a woman lol. Honestly it's interesting to look back at this arc in retrospect, the idea of the same Pokémon having different characteristics based on the region they developed in is a good idea, originally this was an anime only thing for this arc, but the games would eventually use basically the same concept like... 15+ years later with regional variants, I'm not sure if it's coincidence or an intentional nod, but the games also introduced it in a tropical archipelago, it's a fun concept honestly, and it lets the devs spice up some of the classic designs.

Yea, it does make sense, but I guess I'm just a bit salty because I liked having Boner with us.
