Ranma and Ryoga did a great job against the skating weirdos, but now the typhoon that is Shampoo has arrived!

You've seen a decent amount of her from the original series so I think it's safe to say this. While I do think Ranma and Akane make a better couple, I think Ranma and Shampoo do have good chemistry as friends, she's a bit crazy, but to be fair so is Ranma, she's able to match his over the top energy and they work well together. Shampoo is actually one of my favourite characters from the series, along with Ranma of course, she's just fun, and her design is really pretty, plus she just gets a lot of good jokes and moments. NHK actually conducted a popularity poll in Japan several years back of all of Rumiko's works, out of over 200k votes for 150 characters, Shampoo came in 4th place, just to give you an idea of how popular she is, not surprisingly, Inuyasha came first, and Lum, Rumiko's first heroine came second (near 50 years later and Japan still loves her. 1. Inuyasha (Inuyasha) 2.Lum (Urusei Yatsura) 3.Sesshomaru (Inuyasha) 4.Shampoo (Ranma 1/2) 5.Ranma Saotome(Female form) (Ranma 1/2)

Yea, that doesn't surprise me about Shampoo being popular. I definitely like her, too... Of course, I've always had a soft spot for the "crazy chick" characters! 😁
