It seems like a good time to send out a reminder that THE GOOSH is designed to be a place for everyone to come together and have some fun enjoying watching great shows together. I have always kept away posts that will lead to arguments or flame wars, simply because I believe the vast majority of us want an oasis away from all that stuff that permeates every inch of the internet. It's not always politics, sometime it's just not wanting the vitriol of the whole "sub vs. dub" debate. 😁

I just had to remove someone from THE GOOSH because they, once again, can't control their need to spout their political views, despite me repeatedly having asked them to take those somewhere else, as that is the antithesis of what THE GOOSH is about.

You guys know I love a good political debate, but not here. I come here every day to have some laughs and good times with people I really enjoy. There are a million places online where one can go and exchange fire with others over politics or anything else. My sincere hope is that THE GOOSH can always be our escape from all that.

I genuinely don't get why people are so against escapism now, like, I know some people have made politics their identity.... but just learn to relax and have a little fun, it's good for your health. now Subs vs Dubs, that's serious business, the only correct way to watch anime is to see it in the intended french dub, that's how you become cultured!

People who can't put the politics and such down for not even a few minutes are those who choose misery and bitterness as their collar and chain. It's sad. I like coming here being able to post a comment or two about OP or even fangirl out over GOT when you were reacting to those. Hell, watching your reactions kind of helped me expand more into anime myself. I've been following you for has to be a decade by now and I've enjoyed being able to see you experience shows and films I and many others enjoy and be able to just forget that the world sucks for a little bit. So, thank you for all you do, Curtis, mah dood.

It's a shame some people don't realize there's a time and place for it. In a way I feel sad about people who cannot control themselves like that.

Yeah, for the life of me I can't be political, but I just like to avoid conflict and chill as much as possible. The only debates I need in my life is what anime to watch and what food to eat.

The only types of politics I bring in is news from VTubers and state that One Piece and Detective Conan dubs are superior to all others. Feels good to be back home.

I stay very very informed on politics but not once in all my time of watching Spaz Boys have I felt the need to voice my political views unless that was the main topic. Like you said I’ve always seen your community as an escape, I’m around the same age as Spaz Kid and I’ve used your channel as a place to get away from things since Highschool. I used to skip class and watch your reaction vids, not that I condone that lol.

The only politics I want to discuss is how the dog became king in dragon ball z must've just been a true good boy but always looking forward to reactions I've always been bad with people never very social but since I found your yt channel I've learned it's OK to cut up and be goofy now I'm able to keep myself in conversations so thank you for doing what your doing the whole community here loves you
