I always remember this episode just for that intro they gave Ash. It's so rare that you get continuity with past series let alone references to the Orange League. I also like that he won with tactics he used in the past with one being from his first double battle back in the Orange Islands and another from his battle with Gary.

God Tucker's design is... "eccentric", the character designs for the Gen 3 games were pretty subdued as well so just randomly having him show up in the post game as one of the frontier leaders really catches you off guard. Good fight overall though.

Episode was pretty cool but not a fan seeing Ash's pokemon get up after taking so many hits like that. An Arkanine/Swampert losing to a Swellow/Corphish!? I must be smoking crack

Swellow's always been built different. Corphish definitely should've gone down tho

Ya but I really wish they would make a Pokemon's experience a little more relevant in the show. No way Swellow is a higher level than either of them
