I think Gloria slashed her own tires in order to stir the pot around with Tony. She's unstable, imbalanced, and is clearly open to destructive behaviors. She was able to dance circles around Tony, especially using his own willingness to help her as a means to suggest Tony feels guilt because for a brief moment he was reminded of Irina's pettiness. Melfie was spot on about Gloria being some kind of "manifestation" of Tony's mother. Jackie is a fool. He's too entitled and enamoured with the life his father led and sees the prize, but doesn't comprehend the journey to get to said prize. Ralphie is feeding those delusions and Jackie himself is shoving aside what his father wanted for him as well as what Tony tried to provide. He thinks he's Mafia royalty, but to the O.G.'s he's just another punk with a chip on his shoulder. Paulie would attest to this; the code trumps any lineage. Edit: I could hear the "RED ALERT" alarms going off in Tony's head at the end there. XD
