Another GREAT story! This religious psycho really pissed me off! I'm hoping we've seen the last of her having any influence!

Vedek Winn is just such a great obnoxious villain, she's so slimy in how she goes about manipulating people, and the funny thing is, her actress Louise Fletcher is apparently one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet lol. There's definitely an obvious religious element to the episode, but I've always seen it as more of a political episode underneath everything, I mean both Winn and Bareil are both clearly making careful political moves throughout to improve their chances to become the next Kai, the previous Kai basically stayed out of politics and focused on helping the spiritual soul of the Bajoran people... but these two candidates to become the next Kai clearly are a bit more conniving, even if Bareil is doing it for better reasons then Winn. The thing is as well... the Prophets that Bajoran's worship are basically godlike beings with some deep connection to Bajor, from what the show's shown already they exist outside of time and are non-corporeal beings that gave the Bajoran's gifts, their orbs that can show people their past, future or even cryptic warnings, so they might actually be gods. Religion and sci-fi tend to mix a lot more then you'd think. So I can get why some Bajoran's wouldn't be happy that there's a school literally at the door of the wormhole teaching that their gods are just some aliens living in a wormhole, it still doesn't justify anything that happened though and Winn does need to be punched in the face a lot.

THE GOOSH!

Your first paragraph made me instantly flash back to my wrestling days. It always seemed that the most obnoxious heels in the business were actually the best guys! 😁 And it's amazing how these episodes keep getting better and more captivating!

Original this was going to be a crossover with TNG. There would be a battle, they would call for help, and Picard would appear on screen saying. Saying, we're coming. Which sounds badass. Instead we finally got a follow up to the Kai being off Bajor. With a most epic slow motion No.
