Spiritomb is made of 108 souls and the only was to catch it in the DPP games is to meet and talk to 108 players in the underground feature

the move "Double Team" not quite matching the name for you is because of localisation, in Japanese it's "Kage Bunshin", so shadow clones, in the games the move increases a Pokemon's evasiveness, so they localised it to that because they thought it would be easier to understand, plus the original games sprites were pretty simple so there was less of a disconnect. I like Spiratomb, it's a memorable Pokemon you meet in the Sinnoh games, it's a Pokemon born from 108 evil spirits joining together about 500 years ago, Spiratomb showed up in this episode because the gang is currently around the area in the games were you can meet spiratomb if you've met the right conditions.
