Unless I am mistaken, this is the first non-hostile island Luffy and co. have visited since Fishman Island. I was thinking that we're getting some potential "big bad" reveals rather quickly upon arriving at Elbaph, but then I remembered that just about every other island they've been arriving at, the hostile threat they're going to be facing gets revealed fairly early on. I think it's just the dynamic getting flipped and they're not arriving at a place that merits caution. Maybe a stretch too, but I thought back to that "Don't overstay your welcome" and while it's a small thing, Luffy having that play fight with Ripley's kid had the other kids freaking out. My thought process is that if Elbaph is moving away from it's warlike ways, even innocent play fighting like that may be the start of undermining that desired change in culture. Went a bit long winded!
