While I did like Star and Stripe, I'm not particularly fond of how the writer utilized her. She came off as a plot device that was used to weaken AFO/Shiguraki. Part of this issue rears its head for me because she's introduced, given a brief backstory, given a fight against AFO/Shiguraki, and then dies but not before leaving a nasty wound on the main baddie. If she had been alluded to earlier in the story in passing, I'd be more forgiving as she'd feel like someone we'd have been building up to, but she just shows up, does what the story needed her to do, and that's it. Her sacrifice is still a moment that hits, but when left to think about it, the entire thing just sours.
