While I do sympathize with Aoyama, especially because he was put into a situation he didn't ask to be in the first place, I do feel like the author missed the mark again. How the reveal happened as well as the timing of it feel off. The story as well as the characters seemed to have put the notion of there being a traitor to the side as if that seemingly became unimportant to them. And then the reveal happens and it comes off as more of an afterthought, especially because Aoyama has been largely in the background. That said, I do think using Aoyama to get one over on AFO is a smart play on the part of Class A. It gives him and his parents a path to atonement and eventual redemption, especially because it's clear they feel guilty and remorseful about what they've done.
