This GOOSHER 100 video was requested by our pal, Frog. It's the first "Nichijou" episode, and having seen some clips of this series (most notably, "Principal vs. Deer") I was expecting it to be funny, and I was not disappointed! The sausage scene is HILARIOUS! :-D

The cat you were thinking of in the show was black not the one that stole the fish at the beginning

The shoe rack thing is a cultural thing, in Japanese schools you take off your shoes at the entrance and change into something like slippers, so they provide small lockers or cubbies for the shoes, it's also a popular Dropbox for love letters and duel challenges and things

I just finished this series, but the episode you have has slightly different translations, and I've seen at least one other translation too. Nichijou is really heavy in word play and puns, it is interesting to see how different translators try to make them make sense in english.
