Maybe it's because of Naruto's diluted Uzumaki lineage, but Kushina sure handled having Kurama taken from her better than Naruto did. Kushina managed to stay conscious, whip out her chakra chains, and help hold back Kurama's claw, but Naruto was knocked out instantly with his heart already beginning to stop.

I thik the long process to put the beasts in the statue was when 1 individual beast had to be removed from a jinchuriki and then be sealed, I think on the other hand sealing the beast by itself is instant.
