And it starts, lets go bois

Brother E

Keep in mind Curtis this is the series that was inspired by Togashi’s previous Hit series Yu Yu Hakusho. This series also inspired the beginning of Naruto. And is said to be on par with One Piece has one of the most dialogue & well developed stories in history. Yes I’m hyping it up even more. Enjoy 😉

IzzO

Here we go, the anime Naruto stole all its idees from :D

Aidan

I've never watched HxH so this is going to be a knew experience for me I'm going to see if it's as good as people claim it to be. But how many episodes is it. Is it comple? Oh I can already tell that we are going to get a lot of jokes from Curtis regarding Gon's name.

You will definitely see parallels between this and naruto. Kishi took some elements from togashi's hxh for his manga. Just remembered this came first.

I'm just gonna say the English dub is in the middle of the second to last arc (according to Wikipedia there are 148 episodes and the English dub is on 103) so depending on how often Curtis uploads he could catch up to it quickly or not... if it takes 51 weeks for the English dub to finish and Curtis watches one episode per day excluding Sunday like he did with MHA (that actually might be the day he watches new MHA episodes unless he does it on Saturday) so it should take (from my math, if im wrong someone correct me it's not my strongest subject) about 4 or 5 weeks. Yea, no WAY the English dub is gonna be finished before Curtis catches up with it.

I can already tell some people are gonna star arguing about what Naruto was took/inspired by Hunter X Hunter.

it has like 150 episodes . it is not complete . because manga takes so long and there is yet a lot to happen

The dub is easier to understand because of hxh infamous info dumps. I also think the dub is in par with the sub. Both are fantastic. But for the sake of not switching like he has to do with naruto starting with the sub is a good choice.

Nezu Mikey

Ohohoho~~ This is going to be a treat~

Hxh is my favorite shonen after naruto. I personally like it better than brotherhood

Yuion

Fun Fact: The Character Sasuke in Naruto was inspired by Kurapika from HxH Their Clan beeing slayn and the Revenge is the most obvious part about that Also they are both calm minded, intelligent and their eyes can turn red. There are more similarities but they would spoil

Upgraded in preparation for this a few days ago :) had to cancel my netflix but worth xD

Yes great anime series here, I personally prefer watching the 1999 version and then switching to the 2011 version when the 1999 episodes run out, but watching any version is good regardless.

And so it begins! I'm incredibly happy to see you react to this! I'm 42 episodes in myself, and I have never seen in anime before now that has managed to keep me on the edge of my seat during every single moment! I hope you continue to enjoy it as much as I do. See you again tomorrow!

This is gonna be great! Can't wait to see what Curtis thinks of a certain clown , I think he'll like him but who knows

Lachlan Ferrand

This is like my 4th or 5th rewatch of the series and i already have masive nostalgia going into the series so happy it is also in the sub

SlickRob

Leorio is one of my favorite characters, but yeah he has not so noble intentions to begin with.

Antton

If I remember correctly Kishi took some ideas from kurapikas backstory when making sasuke, like his clan being dead and revenge stuff

Looks like I became a Goosher just at the right time! Just caught up with your MHA and now you're starting to watch my favourite series of all time!

Irimu

YES! This is gonna be awesome! Its time for the king of shounen himself!

Yuion

I find the 1999 Version has some pacing issues especially at the beginning and i prefer the 2011 polished HD animation but i get also feel the nostalgia in 1999 more than in 2011

Hisoka the magician

And now Curtis you gonna see what is a truely good(this is an understatement) shounen anime is. So glad you're doing jap dub and I hope we'll get to see your reaction for opening. Can't wait for THAT scene of breathtaking voice acting. I love Naruto but HxH puts it to shame. I'm a new goosher btw. Well its time to binge MHA reactions

Anonymous

Thank you soo much! I've been wanting you to watch this since I watched you react to the first episode of dbza, and it's finally here ~

I get so nostalgic hearing that soundtrack, watching this series again brings back some good memories

Killua Zoldyck

lol the dub isn't that far behind its 103/148 rn

At one episode a week (maybe) he would surely catch up and have to switch. Although I really like the HxH dub

Nezu Mikey

Stumbled across you about a month back and got sucked into your Naruto reactions and I've been following you daily since. Not only is it great to see creators and reactors (which are anagrams of each other~) of all shapes, ages and sizes - but also to follow them as they're introduced to new videos and series.

Nezu Mikey

And now you're doing HxH? Consider me a donor~

THE GOOSH!

It's amazing to me, My Friend, how much I've come to truly love anime! The storytelling, characters and everything are, as far as I'm concerned, unparalleled! :-)

Michael Wilson

Noice! Really lookin forward to this series.

curtis i cant thank you enough for reacting to the sub <333

Nice, definitely a fun series. Killua is my favorite.

Rhyzkha

So hyped to see this series. I'm a little late, but that just means I get to binge the heck out of it.
