Wow! The story behind the Elric boys' predicament is fascinating and horrifying! This show doesn't take long at all to get you swept up! I really enjoy the fast pace; how the explanation for Al's situation is already laid out.

Diego

get ready for one hell of a ride, this anime is amazing and like you saw its not gonna hold anything back

CaseOPictures

"That guy" is voiced by Travis Willingham who voiced Black Zetsu White Zetsu and Jugo in Naruto

Equivalent Exchange is BullSh!t...if it wasnt how can 5 Fast wrist Motions Equal such a good time?...My Wrist doesnt ever hurt afterwards

Hi O'laverly

You're in for a good time with this one, Curtis. It's one of my favorites.

First episode isn’t filler btw, has importance

fasten your seatbelt curtis because this is going to be a HELL of a ride. It is definitely one of the best anime out there. but truth be told in very few episodes you´re gonna need handkerchiefs. and by that i mean you really will need them. FMAB has for me two tearjerker scenes (not counting the finale there i´m only crying because it´s badass) and they are round about the worst emotional heavy hitters i have experienced. And for you i´d say the first one will be far worse than the second one. So i´d say once you see a big tanned dude with white hair: run grabbing handkerchiefs

The first one you're talking about is probably the heaviest emotional hit I've seen in anime. It's impossibru to not hate the character for the rest of the series.

While Mustang is my favourite character, I can't wait for you to meet Ling, I think you'll really enjoy him

Soulley

Haha i always loved Alphone Voice Actor and edwards. Whenever they are in a anime i instantly know who they are. Expecially Eds vioce its very unique. Same goes with Gaara Voice actor as well

GoldArthur

"And it doesn't get much worse than what happened to them" me: oh, this should be fun

It's filler in the sense that it's not part of the manga's original storyline, it's an anime exclusive, while the vast majority of Brohood is canonical. Don't get me wrong, it's a good introductory episode for people who hadn't seen FMA03 or read the manga, but if they had cut it from the show it wouldn't really affect the overall story.

One thing to note. Keep on eye on Edwards height. I wont say how but it is used as a themeatic tool throughout the series. Im sure you will be able to figure it out.

Every time Ed transmutes Al’s soul into the armor it gives me chills. The music, his voice acting/speech, the scene is just perfect. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m so happy we get to experience this great anime with you Curtis :D

I'm so god damn excited for this!

invo

I'm on this journey with you! First time FMAB watcher here too!

Stian Karlsen

This is gonna be an amazing journey

Sheriff Uchiha

Some episode's have after credit scenes. Not sure which but just pointing that out.

Master Gamataifu

Quick heads up. Some episodes have after credit scenes so look out for those. They're pretty important.

THE GOOSH!

Fortunately, someone made me a list... Now I just gotta remember to reference that list! :-D

Weiss Schnee

the blonde girl riza who was with the officer that recruited Ed is the same voice as yaoyorozu momo from my hero

Anonymous

wish I could have got your reaction to the opening.

Mate the chick who plays riza does a voice from almost every anime..ever watch fairy tail? Heard of erza? Yeah she does that too

Darkslifer#27

Im suprised nobody mentioned that eds voice actor is the same as obitos

M9M5

The voice is similar to that of Christopher Sabat, the voice actor of All Might, but they're not the same.

Anonymous

The voice you haven't recognized is that of the main character, Edward Elric. He also voiced kid Obito in the English dub.

Pretty sure Vic Mignogna voiced Adult Obito too. He has a pretty wide range and that slight raspiness to his voice is very recognizable. Case in point: He does Edward Elric and he also voices Broly.

Sherv

Colonel Mustang is voiced by Travis Willingham, he does a lot of voice acting

Aidan

I thought it was him their voices are very similar
